We had such a great time from the moment we walked in until we got up to leave. Our sever was super friendly and helpful, he nailed the recommendation when I couldn’t decide between 2 dinners. We ended up with the spinach dip appetizer which came recommended from the B&B we stayed at and it did not disappoint. My wife had the melt in your mouth pot roast dinner while i had the steak risotto. Both we absolutely delicious. They have so many items that look amazing on the menu that I can’t wait to try them again.

Downtown Woodstock has fun shops and a cool vibe. This is our second visit to the Public House restaurant and we just love it. The burgers are delicious and the shrimp in both the appetizer and main dish we offered were cooked perfectly. The staff is super friendly and the restaurant is very clean. I highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area and it’s even with planning a special afternoon visit if you live in further away suburbs or the city.

First time there, not bad, great service.
I got the ” wagyu” tacos. It tasted like a really good skirt steak. Its rating would have been a BMS #5 quality 3 I’m guessing (no one could tell me what it was) let’s be honest, if you are going to serve wagyu, you had better know the rating. All In all a good meal and a good time. Reccomend.

My personal choice for somewhat upscale dining in Woodstock. The burgers are delicious, but my go to item is the Lobster Cobb Salad. You cannot go wrong with the setting and location. Sit outside on the patio during summer and fall months when musicians play on the square.

Stopped going for a while due to no vegan options. Now they have a dedicated menu. Had the carrot sandwich and it was delicious!! They allow pups on the patio!

Name should not be confused as just another bar on the Square for a Public House in the formal sense is a gathering of good food and conversation. There is a purposeful selections for a cold pour but it’s the variety on the classic Moscow Mule that earns praise. A variety of different seating areas exist with seasonal favorite outside to watch the traffic on the Square and wonder who among the historic visitors to Woodstock would have had the better in a conversation, Orson Wells or Bill Murray.
