We had a superb dinner to celebrate my Big Bro’s 82nd birthday and were blown away with the fabulous flavors of every dish!! From appetizers to main courses to desserts- everything was excellent!! Top -tier fine dining in Ocean Park! A pleasant surprise. We had the Bruschetta with tomato marmalade, Lasagna, Boar Ragu, and Ribeye Steak. Apple cake dessert was delish too! Make sure to get reservations to ensure a spot in this great restaurant.

We didn’t have reservations and lucked out getting seats at the counter.
We had the specials of the day. Rock Fish pasta and Pork Belly pasta. Both were the best pasta we’ve had since eating at the Amalfi Coast in Italy.
I highly recommend eating here if they have an opening.

Hygiene and sanitation needs to be addressed. The chef should wear sanitary gloves when handling food (1st pic). Didn’t see him wash his hands the entire time I was there. He also uses the same knife and cutting board for raw meats and vegetables (2nd pic).

Delicious 🙂 Intimate and unique atmosphere, very cozy. In hindsight, it’d be lovely to be seated at the bar. I ate every bit of my pasta, then used like a whole loaf of bread to soak up + eat the rest of the sauce. You can imagine that my only wish is that the portions were bigger.

Stopped here for dinner after a romantic weekend away. The man who worked there told us they had no space for us unless we had a reservation. Okay, cool, no problem. He did offer for us to sit at the bar. Unfortunately, I have a medical condition that makes me lightheaded when I sit with my feet dangling (sounds silly but my circulatory system isn’t the best). We asked if we could order to go. He responded with, Why? Aren’t the barstools good enough? With a surprising amount of venom in his voice. I tried explaining that I can’t sit where my feet dangle like that and he huffed and rolled his eyes in an exaggerated manner and stomped off about 5 words into my explanation. I don’t know who has rejected this man’s barstools before, but he clearly has trauma. We left and went to the Loose Caboose in Long Beach. Very sweet, eccentric little restaurant with great food. Do yourself a favor, avoid this man’s distinct need for therapy and just go to the Loose Caboose instead.

Such a great experience! Everyone is so nice and the vibes are very homey and comfortable. I usually don’t like bruschetta but theirs was amazing, and I was blown away by the spaghetti I got, packed with veggies and flavor! It really felt like eating at your favorite family member’s house.

Visiting from Seattle for our anniversary and the food was amazing. We got the lamb chop polenta special and the braised boar pasta. The chef served us himself and we got to watch him put together our dinner. The food was phenomenal. The prices are very affordable. Expectations exceeded. Our server was also very kind. 10/10 would recommend and we will be back. LGBT friendly too.

I had a disappointing meal at mycovios a couple weeks ago. The first meal I had was wild boar ragu and it was lovely. But roughly two weeks ago I went and had the pork belly special. the spaghetti under the belly was fine.well cooked and flavorful. But the belly itself was so freezer flavor foreword distinguishing other flavors was difficult. it was well cooked. a good luscious texture. no visible freezer burn. But the freezer flavor kinda of took over the dish.

Some of if not the best food we have had in the US, from appetizers to deserts, all was amazing and such amazing flavors. We were very impressed and sad we had not found this place sooner. Make a reservation to ensure you can get it in .

I had to ask my wife if I was over-using the word fantastic, because I just couldn’t stop gushing about how absolutely fantasic everything about dining at Mycovio’s was! The atmosphere was lovely, very inviting, intimate, and just a great vibe! The service was phenomenal, very attentive without being overbearing, excellent recommendations, and perfect timing with every dish. And the food – wow! So fresh and flavorful and complex in all the right ways, perfectly portioned and left us completely satisfied without being overfilled, and just absolutely delicious! I will 100% be back and I highly recommend visiting if you can.
