Having moved to NH a few years ago, I find myself disappointed with dining out more often than not. The Tavern at Blue Bear Inn exceeded my expectations in every way. Fantastic ambience in an old, but modernized farmhouse, delicious food, and excellent drinks. Friendly service was top notch. They have options for many dietary restrictions, and they have various events planned throughout the year. All 5 in our party were thrilled with the experience. It’s worth the drive.

We were delighted the good folks at Blue Bear fit us in for dinner on Smoked Prime Rib night. Cute farmhouse with a refined atmosphere. Our server Natalie was extremely friendly and helpful. We split the fried cheese curds which were perfectly crisp and gooey. For dinner we both had the smoked prime rib, which had a nice smokey flavor and was perfectly medium rare. Horseradish crema was delicious. My wife was able to get mixed veggies substituted for her asparagus. Our server even tracked me down in the parking lot because I left my hat. We will be back on our next visit!

I had the pleasure of dining at Winslow tavern and it was truly an exceptional experience. The food was absolutely delicious, with each dish crafted to perfection. From the first bite to the last, every flavor was thoughtfully balanced and wonderfully satisfying.

The drinks were equally impressive—expertly mixed and beautifully presented, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to the meal. Whether you’re a fan of classic cocktails or something more creative, their drink menu is sure to please.

The ambiance of the restaurant was warm and inviting, with a perfect balance of comfort and sophistication. The staff were attentive, friendly, and genuinely passionate about ensuring a memorable dining experience.

If you’re looking for a place to enjoy outstanding food, amazing drinks, and impeccable service, Winslow is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be returning soon!

We went at 5 on a Sat . The service is the best in the area. Service that we used to see years ago but can no longer find. The food was fantastic. We sat beside a roaring fireplace. I highly recommend the Blue bear. A place we are all looking for.

I wanted to share something I wrote to the owners and staff at the Blue Bear Inn recently. If you are looking for a quaint place, great staff and wonderful food , please take the opportunity to make reservations and give them a try. ” I just wanted to reach out and let you folks know what a wonderful time my wife and I had as we celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary on Saturday night with you. From moment one, your staff was friendly, pleasant, competent and just a pleasure to be surrounded by as we dined. Also, the food was truly excellent !!! Our complements to your chef as her choice of textures and flavor profiles beautifully accentuated and conveyed what should be and were the true flavors of our dishes. AWESOME JOB CHEF !!!
Brian ( bar tender ) did a nice job with our drinks and was very professional and entertaining. In conclusion, the time that both of the owners chose to spend with us is a rarity today, and was very much appreciated. We most certainly will be back and we will be recommending your establishment to our friends and family.
Sincerely, Dennis Little and Barbara McCann

Amazing dining experience in a rustic setting. Many menu options and fabulous staff all over. Our new go to for special occasions, perfectly timed that the new owners took over as Mile Away in Milford closed down leaving us with few premium places to visit. Blue Bear is so choice. I highly recommend you check it out.

Friends and I had a delightful dinner here. The drinks were great. The bartender took the time to create blue cheese stuffed olives for my dirty martini. They were busy, but our appetizers and then main course showed up in good time. The smoked prime rib was flavorful but nicely rare. The outside patio where we ate, with a beautiful view, was cozy and relaxing.
