Aroma Breakfast and Lunch Cafe in the Collin Creek area is such a delightful find. The space is bright, spacious, and comfortable, with plenty of seating and a genuinely pleasant, if strip mall, atmosphere. The staff is warm and friendly, which immediately makes you want to linger.
There is even a “secret” beverage menu available for in-cafe customers, which adds a fun little insider touch. I tried a latte, and it was everything you want from a hot latte: smooth, comforting, and delicious.
But what truly inspired me to write this review was the shakshuka. Oh my goodness. The shakshuka. Exquisite, perfectly cooked, and divinely spiced. I fell in love with shakshuka at the InterContinental in Manhattan and have been chasing that experience ever since. This was my fifth attempt in the North Dallas, Plano, and Frisco area, and I was starting to think I would never find one that lived up to that memory. Then I hit pay dirt at Aroma.
The eggs were cooked to absolute perfection: firm whites and yolks in that magical sweet spot between runny and just set. Every bite was rich, flavorful, and deeply satisfying.
If you love brunch or are on a quest for great shakshuka, Aroma is absolutely worth a visit. We will definitely be back.
I opted for the Shakshuka. The eggs were simmered in a rich tomato-based sauce, garnished with fresh parsley. I added the beef sausage to my dish, and it was served with warm pita bread.
My daughter chose the banana, strawberry Nutella French toast, along with a side of scrambled eggs and crispy beef bacon. Both my meal and my daughter’s were well-seasoned and flavorful.
Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant. The food was delicious, the service was attentive, and the atmosphere was welcoming. It’s a place that we will definitely be returning to in the future. My daughter left her plate sparkling clean—yes, it’s that good.
I will definitely be coming back, and I highly recommend this place.
I myself had the omelet. It was the best omelet I’ve had from an American breakfast joint. Not that I’ve had too many, due to most of them being disappointing. But this one was good. Good eggs, good seasoning, well stuffed. No extra charge on the pita bread, and all at a reasonable price.
I don’t eat breakfast out much still. But if I do, this’ll be one of the first places I think of.
We had Chicken Fetteh, Shakshuka and the Syrian waffle.
We were so full and the staff was very friendly and accommodating.
Abdullah, the owners son, came to greet us and made sure everything was great.
Would definitely come back when in the area.
Wish we lived closer.
The food was delicious and the service was excellent. We ordered Banana Nutella pancakes, Meat lovers omelette, and a traditional breakfast. Everything was spot on. Highly recommend this.
The food tastes as great as it looks. The Chicken Buffalo omelette and Greek omelette are amazing! They both have the right amount of spices without getting over the top spicy. The other sweet items like pancakes and french toasts are on par if not exceeding your average breakfast place. A+
The service and ambiance is also amazing! The staff greeted us as soon as we walked in and had us seated immediately. The gentleman was quick to get us our coffees before we even started looking at the menu. It’s the little things that really stood out to me.
I can tell this is going to become one of our frequent breakfast stops. Good stuff!
Service was friendly, fast, and dialed-in — no waiting around or chasing anyone down. Prices were solid, especially considering the quality and portions.
Overall, this spot is a gem in Plano. If you want a halal breakfast that hits all the right notes without breaking the bank, Aroma is definitely the move.
