What really stands out about The Q is the breadth of the menu. It’s not just one style of Asian cuisine — they offer Chinese dishes, Japanese options including creative signature sushi rolls, an extensive Thai menu, and of course, hot pot, which seems to be the big draw for many diners. We didn’t try the hot pot this time, but seeing so many tables enjoying it made it clear we’ll be back specifically for that experience.
The variety makes it a great choice for groups because there truly is something for everyone. Whether you’re in the mood for sushi, classic Chinese dishes, flavorful Thai curries, or an interactive hot pot meal, the options are extensive.
The atmosphere on Christmas night was festive and energetic — the kind of place that feels vibrant and social rather than quiet and formal. Despite how busy it was, the restaurant handled the crowd well, and the overall experience felt organized and upbeat.
If you’re looking for a dynamic spot in Boston with a broad Asian menu and a fun, bustling vibe, The Q delivers. We’re already planning a return visit to try the hot pot next time.
We decided to try the hot pot for the first time—no idea what we were doing—but our server was amazing. She walked us through everything and made the whole experience easy (and honestly, a lot of fun). We went with one spicy broth and one non-spicy broth, and everything we cooked up was delicious.
We also ordered a sushi roll—the Red Sox roll(I think)—and it was fantastic. Fresh, flavorful, and beautifully made.
All in all, a great spot to try something different in Boston. If we’re back in town, we’ll definitely eat here again.
Our party had the avocado salad, Mala noodle soup with pork, spicy avocado ball, and the paradise garden stir fry with a side of fried tofu. The Mala noodle soup was a large portion with a generous amount of meat that could easily feed two people. All of the food came out piping hot in under 10 minutes.
Delightful interior decoration and primarily booth seating. We had two excellent servers who were extremely charismatic and knowledgeable about the menu. They were also accommodating to our dish modifications and happy to answer any questions.
Overall a wonderful experience and we look forward to returning!

Service started out great but waiter became a bit inattentive. Wanted extra soy but couldn’t find him and he didn’t check in. Also, ordered a pot of tea, hoping to share, and was brought a single cup after a tremendous wait. Wish he came back so I could’ve told him we needed another cup!
