I recently visited Fronteras in Ottawa, Kansas with my coworkers, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. From the moment we walked in, the staff was welcoming, friendly, and attentive. I brought my guide dog with me, and they were extremely accommodating and respectful, which truly meant a lot and made the visit even more enjoyable.
The service was outstanding. Our server was attentive without being intrusive and made sure everyone at the table was well taken care of. The food was absolutely amazing. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared, and the portions were very generous. You can really tell that care and pride go into every dish.
Fronteras provided a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere that was perfect for a lunch outing with coworkers. Great food, excellent service, and genuine hospitality made this a memorable visit. I highly recommend Fronteras to anyone in the Ottawa area looking for a wonderful Mexican restaurant experience.

Wonderful authentic Mexican food. Complimentary queso and chips for appetizer is addictive. Wish more restaurants did that vs just salsa. Maya Chimi or Sunday fajita special are my favorites. Prices are very reasonable

Matthew was our waiter and gave us top notch wonderful service all night. We had house margarita’s. The Beef & Chorizo burrito was excellent. The Fajita chicken bowl was very good.

I DoorDash this place regularly, a couple weeks ago I stopped in for the first time and ordered Take-away for a Bonito Burrito which was LOADED, HOT AND FANTASTIC!!!

Today, I stopped in for a 2:45p lunch after gaming at my buddy’s house for a few hours. The waitresses immediately greeted me, I ordered my the same burrito as before and just wow.
I got a Dos Equis Beer, they gave me salsa, chips and queso! Large portion and the plate was actually TOO HOT TO TOUCH when they brought it out – MEANING SUPER FRESH!!!
I spent a total of $23 and it well worth it!

The food here is exceptional. It’s some of the best Tex-Mex food I’ve had and appears to be consistently good through all dishes. (Even the breaded shrimp salad was great!)
