Fresh feast!!!!!
First of all I fell in love with the name. It is what drew me in. But oh my gosh it was perhaps the best pasta I’ve had this side of Italy!!!!
The pasta is made on site as is everything else! That tomato sauce was perfection and the meatballs! Nothing was too rich, too oily, too processed.
It was a sunny fall day and I sat outside and was blissed out. The wait staff are adorable as well! The girl from Sicily!

Delicious bacon egg and cheese on croissant. Met one of the partners and he was kind. The staff is courteous and respectful. Music was just right volume and black drip coffee was nice and hot. I sat near the window and had lovely light shining in. Defiantly a great spot to visit with a friend or do some work for a bit.

I visited in the morning and was delighted with their coffee and paninis. The experience was so good that I returned in the evening, and the atmosphere is simply perfect. The service is excellent, the menu is very well thought out, and the pasta is delicious. Highly recommended!

The atmosphere is cozy yet lively, with a thoughtful design that makes dining here a real pleasure. The menu offers a nice balance of creative and comforting dishes, all prepared with great flavor and attention to detail. Service is warm and attentive, and the staff make you feel genuinely welcome throughout your meal. It’s an ideal place for catching up with friends, enjoying a relaxed date, or simply treating yourself to great food in a great neighborhood. I’ll definitely be coming back!

I’m so sorry I have write this review because I’m so sad. I HATED the pistachio pasta.
First off, appetizers were amazing — we got the farro salad, ricotta toast. except for the cabbage — it was very strange with a weird sauce on top. Not my favorite :/
Drinks were pretty good too– LOVED the bittersweet symphony and aperol spritz.
Service was amazing though. We were a party of 5 and we had to split the bill for reimbursement purposes and the man very kindly and ardently tried to figure out how to split the apps on the system. Loved him.
But what made me disappointed was the pistachio pasta. It was incredibly bland. There was no sauce or seasoning to hold together the dish. It desperately needed cheese or a pesto sauce. Literally ANYTHING. I love a pistachio but this pasta completely turned me off for a while from the nut. I’m so sad 🙁 I will not be returning. If I do, it won’t be for this pasta…

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve walked by, ever realizing that Travelers Poets & Friends was actually three different kinds of restaurants combining a lovely cafe where folks can sit enjoying coffee & tea, a fantastic restaurant, Osteria 57 as well as a restaurant to have fresh pasta . They also have lovely prepared foods, tomato sauces, olives mustards, spices and other items for your home kitchens or to give as thoughtful gifts.

‘I am so glad I finally made it to Travelers Poets and Friends on 6th Avenue—it was absolutely perfection. From the moment I stepped inside, the ambiance was meraviglioso (marvelous). The atmosphere felt cozy and intimate, like a little hidden gem in the city.
The attention to detail is remarkable. I even saw someone go through a little secret door in the wall, which just added to the intrigue and charm of the place. It’s the kind of spot where every visit feels like a discovery.
The experience was simply perfetto (perfect), and I will be back for sure.
If you’re looking for some pasta, sauces, treats to get for a gift basket or take away the selection is great! ☕️

Maritozzo Con Panna. Have you savored one? No? Then run swiftly to Travelers Poets & Friends on Sixth Avenue to snag one during the breakfast hours. This is a sweet brioche bun cut open and filled with a sweet whipped cream. Simple and luscious. Perfect with a cappuccino. Last week, one was kept for me and i ate it with hot Earl Grey Tea. The Maritozzi are found in bars and patisseries in Rome and are from the Lazio region. I used to have these at Lodi restaurant midtown but when they enlarged their restaurant and took out the bakery gone were these maritozzi. I cried. TPF is a lovely restaurant café where one can sit at the bar or get a table and enjoy these cream buns every morning. Ana, Carmine and Michela work here and were kind to keep one for me. Grazie Molto!

Warm & attentive service with a cozy lay out. Had a lot of promise when you first walk in & was quite excited to try given the high ratings. Unfortunately the food left much to be desired. Meatballs were dry & bland. Red sauce is very one note & on the salty side. Salads were tasty & fresh but quite pricey for the portion size. Bread is decent. Swordfish milanese is tasty but very thin & a bit dry on the sides. The arugula salad that comes with the fish is overly salted. The market side may be good for reading/working on your laptop. It offers small snacks & coffee but not sure of flavors. Wouldn’t recommend the restaurant, however.

What do you think of when it comes to Italian food? Pizza or pasta? But this restaurant is way more than those. It brings a whole new understanding of what is Italian food with ingredients sourced from local farms and directly from Italy, freshly made in house. Their pasta is soft like marshmallow, and their pizza dough is crisp like cookies. And they taste like heaven, comforting, hearty and satisfying yet light and healthy. The interior design is very upscale in the dinner section. I highly recommend giving it a try!
