Very relaxed atmosphere with the staff looking to make your day a pleasure. The southwest omelete I had cooked to order was great, complete with quacamole. The Hilton Diamond paid for ($15) half of the buffet cost but it was still a good. The coffee was even very good. With the mountain and resort views in your sights, this makes a very relaxing breakfast. Now on my way to Saguaro National Park and Pima air and space museum.

So far I’ve eaten lunch here twice and both times I have been thoroughly impressed by the food and the service! The quesadilla is super good and just has enough kick to be tasty but not so spicy your nose runs…. lol the poblano peppers are cooked to perfection and the pico de Gallo is delicious! Today I had the pulled pork sandwich and sweet potato fries and I couldn’t even finish it! The bread was soft and the caramelized onions gave it a really nice touch!

We had a great server and I wish I remembered his name but he was an older gentleman and was quick with a joke and easy to talk to. Our drink were fast and our burrito was great. I saw some breakfast potato’s and within a couple of minutes he had them to us. Would eat here even if we were not staying on the property solely off our server interaction.

I was surprised how little attention was placed on customer service. Our server, Edgardo, didn’t come by to give us water refills and didn’t really seem to pay much attention to his tables. Upon receiving our check, we waited 20 minutes for our card to be taken. I ended up having to leave my table to find Edgardo and I asked him, “would I be able to leave my payment with you?” To which he responded, “Yeah, give it to your server.”

It wasn’t until I just stood there a bit confused that he realized that he was my server and took my card. I was shocked he had tried to dismiss me when I asked for his help.

Overall, not worth the visit. I highly recommend trying another place.

Food off the menu was decent. The buffet looked like something you would find at a Hampton Inn.

I ordered a simple salad for lunch $13 and it was terrible. The lettuce was limp. The tomatoes were over ripe and just awful. It was basically inedible. When I mentioned the tomatoes to the waitress she said nothing. Won’t be going back. Would like to give a negative star! This restaurant has gone downhill over the years.

As much as I loved everything about El Conquistador, this place was a joke. We we’re actually laughing about how terrible it was. When we sat down, two waiters somewhat argued about who was going to take the table and who was going to go on break. I felt like a bother, just trying to get breakfast. The food was no more exciting than any other pretty standard hotel breakfast buffet, except quite expensive. We chose to opt out of the buffet and order from the menu. The food all came out cold. The bloody Mary had zero garnishing and was bland. The oatmeal was soupy, cold and brown sugar was not even offered. It had to be requested.

45 minutes to get breakfast and Coffee not just for us but others. Mangager stated he was sorry but their chef called in sick. No more no less to 3 tables while we ate medicore food. Yes 45 minutes to get our order! We live local but we’re there not only for breakfast but to look at this place for an event. The manager on many levels is so far above his head on this date its scarry.

Service was poor. The servers screwed up several of our orders. The food was mediocre. The coffee was terrible. And the price was high. You’re better off going offsite for breakfast.
