Stopped in on a Sunday morning around 10:30ish and had to wait 7ish minutes before we were seated. But that gave us time to figure out what we wanted to order. Coffee was strong, table clean, and fast service. Ordered chicken fried steak and they had it on the table in under 10 minutes. I can’t find anything to complain about the place. Will be back if we are in the area.

Nostalgia! If I’m honest, the place is a little worn, especially the floor, but that’s exactly what gives this place its charm. Stepping into this diner is like instantly being transported back to the 1960s. The old photos of Sioux Falls’ earlier days is a nice touch. It’s hard for me to say a lot about the food because I kept it light and just got coffee and English muffin (both were good) and a side order of fries (seasoned perfectly). The staff were awesome. Will come back.

The food is amazing, I got the Elvis meal and shake and let me tell you, they are GREAT if you are a peanut butter lover like me. Cool atmosphere definitely a diner feel, with good service from our server.

The atmosphere was pleasant and the staff friendly. The shakes were flavorful and very tasty. The burgers were juicy and had a good seasoning to them. The bun was toasted giving them a nice crunch. The fries were very good. They were crispy! The salad was fresh and not slimy. ***There is a small parking lot and on street parking that is metered so if you come to the diner, make sure you have quarters. I definitely a place I will stop again in the future when passing through.

In town for a day trip and this is a must stop. Cute diner downtown. Your classic diner. Walk in and welcomed by a big simple and very friendly staff. Sat down right away. Ended up having the Thursday special, homemade chicken salad sandwich on whole wheat. Amazing.

Phillips Avenue Diner — you’ve done it again!
Fluffy pancakes, crispy bacon, and eggs cooked just right — this plate was pure breakfast happiness. Prices were solid, service was quick and friendly, and the syrup-to-pancake ratio? Perfect. Phillips Avenue Diner never disappoints — 10/10 would breakfast again! ☕

What an incredible find for Sunday brunch!! The server was amazing! Highly recommend asking for a side of peanut butter fluff to dip your toast in- creative and delicious!

The biscuits and gravy were top notch. Very full flavored and if you like a bit of sage in your sausage gravy this is the one to hit.

The hollandaise sauce is definitely made from scratch and not from a packet. Velvety smooth

And don’t miss out on a milkshake perfect for sharing and they will split the extra into a second goblet

Don’t ignore the hype. It’s really amazing!

I got the bacon mac ‘n cheese with chicken. The noodles tasted fine, but seemed like they definitely weren’t fresh; like noodles that had been out for a while already. Still, the food was good and the service acceptable. A nice little treat in downtown Sioux Falls.

We had a great experience here! Our waitress was kind, attentive (even though she was busy)! We came for the burger battle but also ordered a shake to share. Very tasty. Looking forward to return for the usual menu items. This burger was tasty, and we enjoyed how the cinnamon complemented the burger! And the sweet potato fries were amazing!!
