Charged for fries – didn’t give us fries.
Charged extra for cheese – didn’t have cheese.

We sat at the window for a solid two minutes waiting for our drinks, which were already made and sitting right there. The employee was too busy texting on her phone to notice she hadn’t handed them to us. We didn’t realize items were missing until we got home, so I called the store. The woman on the phone just said, “Yeah, we’re out of cheese,” as if that somehow explains charging people for something they don’t even have.

This isn’t the first time they’ve messed up our order, but it might be the last time we bother going. The lack of attention, communication, and basic customer service is unbelievable. If the staff is going to share one brain cell, the least they could do is take turns using it.

Literally the worst Wendy’s I’ve ever had the displeasure of experiencing. They have a 100% failure rate on completing my orders. Literally every single drive thru order is missing some major component of the order. The food is stacked in the bags so poorly that it’s a ridiculous puzzle to even check their work. The people that work there are kind, but are either inept or simply not paid enough to care (possibly both).

TLDR:
Go to literally any other local fast food restaurant instead.

12:30 pm…9/18/25. Cashier working the front was the only one working.
I stood in line for 5 minutes and I was the 2nd person. The cashier was trying to get everyone food together that was waiting. 2 women working in back standing around talking and on their phone. Lady working drive thru.
Cashier is now cleaning all the tables as I watch everyone else in the back talking and on their phone again.
Ok…they have gloves on…on their phone….now I wonder if they change their gloves before fixing food. Sitting here watching…answer to that is no they don’t put on clean gloves

I mean, it was fine, but the soda machine was out of literally everything except diet ginger ale and unflavored sparkling water. I had to watch customer after customer approach the soda machine with hope in their eyes, only for that hope to be dashed and the poor customers to settle for sub-par options, while I miserably drank some unflavored fizzy water.

Usually a decent experience but this was what I was served tonight when I ordered Baconator fries. Sadly had driven all the way home before I discovered this inedible mess.

We are AT thru-hikers who stopped at Kroger to buy food and re-supplies. We had a sick friend at the hotel who asked us to stop at Wendy’s to bring her food back to the hotel, so we did. While we were waiting, we sat at a table with our sacks and also talked to another hiker we knew who was eating there.

The manager came up to us and said we were not allowed to solicit for money in the restaurant, which one of our group politely explained we were not doing and said we were picking up food for a sick friend. The manager told her she would like us to leave. Fortunately, we had already paid for and received the food for our friend.

I went to the manager, pulled money, credit cards, and my ID out of my pocket and said we did not need to solicit for money and were NOT soliciting for money. She said someone said we were soliciting and she wanted us to leave. I told her we were leaving, but that I was very offended. In a hateful, mean tone, she said, “Well, I’m offended, too.”

Wow. Just, wow. I cannot believe how hateful and rude she was. Just because I am hiking does not mean I am homeless or soliciting for money. It means I love what God created for us and am spending a LOT of money to enjoy it in a way that brings me joy and peace.

Everything served was cold. It’s the most basic expectation to be served warm food. If you order here make sure you tell them you want a fresh order. I’m pretty sure I was served something left out for too long.

On Sunday, we visited Wendy’s at 5 Kingston Dr, Daleville, VA 24083, around 2 PM, and it turned out to be one of the worst customer service experiences we’ve ever had. As we approached the register to place our order, the girl at the counter (likely between 20–25 years old) started taking our order but abruptly left midway without saying a word. She called over a guy with long hair to take over and completely ignored us.

When the guy came to take our order, we asked him why the girl refused to continue assisting us. Instead of giving us a proper explanation, he looked at the girl, and they both exchanged whispers while ignoring our question. This behavior felt extremely rude and unprofessional.

The guy’s attitude while taking our order was just as dismissive. He acted like he didn’t want to assist us at all, making us feel as though we were there to eat for free. He didn’t bother asking whether we wanted to dine in or take out, nor did he make any effort to be polite, accommodating, or respectful. The entire interaction made us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable.

To make matters worse, the food quality was disappointing—the coffee wasn’t fresh or warm, and the sandwich was average at best. When our order was ready, no one informed us. We had to approach the counter ourselves and ask, and only then were we told it was ready.

Additionally, the men’s restroom was poorly maintained, which added to the negative experience.

This level of service, where staff members selectively ignore or mistreat certain customers, is unacceptable. A staff member who refuses to treat all customers equally should not be working at the register. We hope the management takes this seriously and ensures such incidents don’t happen again.

We will not be returning to this location.

I hate writing bad reviews but our stop at this location was terrible. The staff seemed frazzled or just bored and acted as if we were an inconvenience. The chicken asiago burger I got tasted terrible and had a weird texture. While there at least 3 people went up to have incorrect orders fixed. There were 2 young girls in a booth with blankets, tablets, stickers and beads. Occasionally, they went to the counter and were told by an employee to go back and sit down. I think they were an employee’s children. I sympathize with how hard it is to be a mom and childcare is so expensive but they were fighting and dropped beads and other things that could cause someone to slip.
