What a great way to start my stay in the area. The view was excellent. (Window, water side) It’s just fascinating for a Midwesterner to watch the ships go by. Not to mention the view across the bay. Jack was in his game for assisting this first-timer to Ivar’s. The Halibut was super and was the perfect lunch. I will definitely be back for more this week.

We had a great experience at Ivar’s Mukilteo. The view was beautiful, and the ambience was warm and relaxing. Our server was really attentive, especially with our kid’s allergy needs, which made us feel comfortable.

The Dungeness crab dip was rich and flavorful, and the crab & lobster cakes were perfectly done with a delicious sauce. I really enjoyed the seafood paella, it was so hearty and full of flavor. Even the kid’s grilled chicken was nicely cooked with fresh sides.

Great food, lovely setting, and thoughtful service. Would definitely come back

Tried the clam chowder — it was pretty good! You can actually taste real chunks of clam, not just potatoes and cream. On the way in, I met an elderly lady who said she’s been eating it since she was 5 — now she’s 70. That says something!

Beautiful water view and delicious seafood! The salmon sandwich and fish tacos were super tasty. Crab bisque was good but not great. Paella was a bit bland. If I were local I’d definitely come back but not order those items again. Great service and nice dock next door to walk out and view the water!

I expected way much more from this place.

Almost no ️ for restaurant visitors , you need to pay for parking next to it.

The first thing that surprised me a little was that when we asked about the order and the availability of items, we were told they had fresh oysters. But after we had already placed the order, unfortunately, the waiter informed us that they were not available that day. The cod was very dry, and the sauce wasn’t particularly tasty. The chicken was covered in a red sauce, but the menu didn’t clearly indicate that it would be completely topped with it. The clam chowder was more or less the same as in most places, though here it was served in a bread bowl. The seafood stew also came with sausages ( for what ? ) , which didn’t go well together at all and added an artificial smoky flavor.

I can’t say I feel like returning to this place. The only thing that wins you over is the absolutely stunning view.

Best clam chowder! A great stop before flying out of Pane field. French dip was huge and very good. We watched the Ferry and other boats while enjoying a great lunch.

This isn’t your typical Ivar’s — it’s a more upscale dining experience located right on the water, with gorgeous waterfront views that elevate the whole experience. The seafood options are plentiful and fresh, but they also offer traditional meat dishes if seafood isn’t your thing.

The brussels sprouts were absolutely to die for — perfectly crisp and full of flavor. We also tried the crab artichoke dip, which had a nice kick to it, though it was a little spicier than we expected.

The service was warm and attentive without being overbearing. We didn’t even have a reservation but lucked out with a cozy window seat looking right out over the water. The restaurant was clean and well-maintained, and there was plenty of parking available just across the street — two hours for only $2.50, which felt like a steal.

Before dinner, we took a walk along the beach nearby, which made for a lovely start to what turned out to be a spontaneous and memorable date night.

Overall, prices were pretty reasonable for the quality, view, and atmosphere. Highly recommend for a relaxed yet special evening out.

The location is scenic and food is delicious as well as pragmatically presented.

For our family of five, we ordered three appetizers, five entrées and two desserts.

We were impressed at the level of attention our server paid to accommodate our family’s allergies and food sensitivities.

The booth we were seated at gave us a beautiful view of the ocean, surrounding islands and the setting sun.

The restaurant was busy but the thoughtfulness of setting up plexiglass dividers between the booths allowed us to hear our own conversations without over hearing our neighbors or fear of being overheard.

All in all, an excellent spot for a seafood dining experience.
