I’m extremely disappointed. I purchased noodles from this restaurant and discovered a larvae/maggot inside when reheating them the next day. I have attached the photo. The restaurant acknowledged the issue when I contacted them.
I have submitted a report to the Washtenaw County Health Department so they can inspect the kitchen.
I recommend avoiding this restaurant until they complete a health inspection and address the contamination.

My Wife and I ordered Duck Soup and another noodle entrée for take out from this place and found a cockroach in the soup. Absolutely disgusting. I took a photo of it. We will never step foot in this place again.

I come to this place a decent amount because the noodles are great. Very hearty, hand-pulled noodles in large portion sizes.
It’s not like a true sit down restaurant. You order at the counter, they give you a buzzer, and you come up and grab the food when it’s ready.

Leaving two stars only because my previous experience here was better than today: the fried rice dishes are far better than the signature beef ramen I had… what can I say.. this was not worth $14.79. Not a single penny. No one wants to order a *signature* ramen dish from a restaurant specializing in noodles only to be given broth with so much salt you’ll need to drink twice as much water as you will the broth. The noodles themselves were promised to be “handmade”, they were thick and rubbery. Already a terrible start. Perhaps the beef could have redeemed this dish? Nope— dry (please refer to photo) dry as a bone. The star of the dish was the bok choi aka the only edible item in the bowl. Genuinely felt like a waste of money. If you’re a student on a budget, go elsewhere.

I had a big and delicious bowl of Malaysian mee goreng noodles with shrimp. The sauce was very rich and sweet. The sticky rice shu mai were steaming hot and savory.

This place is extremely underrated. One of my close friends told me these are the best noodles I’ll get in all of Ann Arbor and he was not wrong. I got the Peking Pork and couldn’t be more content with my decision. The noodles are the star of the show and that’s not saying the pork wasn’t good. Prices are affordable and you will be getting your food in under 20 minutes. I 100% recommend you stopping by you won’t regret it!

We ordered 5 bowls of noodle soup. The soup was very salty and we couldn’t eat it at all. We reported it to the female manager who was present and she said that saltiness was the specialty of this restaurant and that people from other places couldn’t get used to it. If it wasn’t salty, the locals wouldn’t like it. ☹️

Loved their shrimp chow fun and scallion pancake. I also tried their spicy beef tripe and it was very flavorful. Will be coming back!

I was glad to see Lan City opened a new location. Their noddles were bouncy and flavorful. I tried their passion fruit lime tea bubble tea which was also good.
However, we always order shrimp, but somehow there’s always other meats that get added by error which is upsetting. This time, we found chicken in our shrimp noodle dish. I wish they were more careful for people with dietary restrictions.
