Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

Listen, it’s hard to find a consistent burger that just tastes good UNDER 10 dollars…. WB has this flavor on lock and know it. Its always good! Its also classic as hell. The char grilled flavor slaps harder than your mom when you forget to take the chicken out of the freezer… never stop being great WB!!

Sep 16, 2025. Around 4pm. (Figure out who was on staff) I live a block away from the place and I stop here frequently, your drive thru window guy wasn’t polite at all, seemed bothered, didn’t seem to care. Knew from there something would be wrong with my order. And here’s the onion rings, they look old and look like they were tossed in the fryer a second time, dripping in oil.

A few hours from this post I will start my journey to Europe. Had my last whataburger from this place last week, been hitting it up since I moved here back in 2017 after leaving the military. Definitely going to miss this place. Always got my order right. I usually went during the late hours after work. They were a godsend during covid (can you believe that was 6 years ago now!?!?!). Thanks to all the workers there, the very few times something was wrong they just made me a new one and let me keep the old one.

Tried their free Monterey Burger special and it was tasty. Sadly, i spent some 20+ minutes trying to get the promotion (free Monterey burger with purchase of medium fry and medium drink). App was not super user-friendly, so much so that I think they’ve designed the promo in the app so that you end up giving up, surrendering and then paying retail.

We have had nothing but problems from this and I have given them plenty of chances. This last time which was last night, we walked in at around 8:45pm we stood waiting to be greeted or even acknowledged for almost 5 minutes, then our order was taken and I person didn’t really seem to want to be there. After waiting for our food for a while the guy called us and even said our order back to us but the bag looked small so we checked and sure enough my whole meal was missing from the bag so we had to wait for someone to walk back by another 5 minutes pass and get my food. Then we get home and open the bbq chicken sandwich and find out they made it wrong. It was on a regular bun with no bbq sauce. We call and they don’t care, we call corporate they don’t care. So i am done. This location sucks and I won’t give more chances.

I had completely forgotten how quaint and intimate the Whataburger restaurant restaurant really was. And it’s not a bad thing. There’s no rush to eat your food and leave. There’s no pressure from the staff to make you leave or order more food to make you stay.

The hospitality of this restaurant was beyond 5 stars. The kindness of the staff made me feel like I was wanted there, and not just for my money. They actually cared that I was there. The cleanliness was astounding.

The food?? Oh my. It was so fresh that the cheese was still melting on my burger and the burger itself was still hot when I finished it. The fries were perfect- crisp, warm, delicious like a french fry should be.

This particular Whataburger is in the other side of town for me, but I’ll drive there for the food. It’s worth it.

Whatburger is delicious however this particular location takes FOREVER . You can be the only one in line and still waiting very long, like don’t you guys care about your window time ?!? I ordered an order of hash browns , took 10 mins to get it out . Crazy . Do better guys . This is fast food . Come on now.

Usually pretty good but have been missing items from my order more frequently recently. Fast food is expensive and forgetting items customers pay for is unacceptable. 2 meals and 2 sides was $38, was missing half that in the bag.

This morning, I had Whataburger breakfast for the very first time (1/23/26) the woman at the window who had a throat tattoo (I wanna make sure she gets credit & I didn’t catch her name) was very, very kind and made my experience extremely pleasant. I hope her managers see this. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ totally recommend!
