I had the fish tacos, wifey had the carne asada, kids had nuggets and fries and taquitos.
The host lady is awesome .
I walked in with a group of 7 at 8:05pm. They close at 9pm and there were others in the restaurant. The host (who ended up being our server as well) actually rolled her eyes and sighed while getting our menus. Impressive. She then proceeded to literally throw our menus on the table, making a loud slap sound for each one. Yikes.
When it came time to order, the server was noticeably impatient. This was unsettling to our group. My wife’s order is a little special as she can’t have onions. Apparently this was also offensive to our server, who again rolled her eyes. Then she almost left without taking everyone’s order.
Drinks came, but we were one short. 2 reminders later we finally got the last drink. Also regarding drinks, no one at our table ever got a refill despite several empty glasses.
The food came a bit later (not too long) and it was honestly the most bland Mexican food I have ever had. I’m used to Mexican food being pretty lame in the northwest, but this was even worse. Oh, and my wife’s dish had onions all over it. She opted to pick them off rather than complain. Her dish tasted slightly better than mine, but still not even as good as a cheap TV dinner. Lame.
I could go on, but there’s no point. Simply put, this is the worst Mexican restaurant I have ever visited, both in service and flavor. I will not be back.
We were sat at the bar after a wait and ended up sitting there about 15 minutes before we even got our margarita. A couple that came in way after us got asked what they wanted to drink before we were even acknowledged, and their food order was taken first too. That was frustrating.
The bar area was pretty gross. Dusty, dirty, with old mixing cups left out and even an old Diet Coke can sitting next to my spot. Just not a good look. I got the seafood burrito and it was dry and honestly just not good.I couldn’t even finish it, and I usually love it. It didnt have the cream sauce -just sourcream, and no sliced avocado as said on the menu.
I still tipped well because I felt bad for the waitress, she was clearly stressed and trying to do it all. I overheard her complaining about not being able to get ahold of someone, and turns out they were just down a dishwasher. But from the way things were going, it felt like they needed a whole extra crew. One person was basically doing everything serving, taking orders, drinks, food running, water, menus, all of it while one person did drinks and food running.
It used to be way better here. I really hope they get a better system in place or more help soon, because this visit was disappointing.
