The staff are friendly and welcoming, making the atmosphere warm and comfortable. Portions are generous and worth the price. Whether you like spicy food or mild flavors, they are happy to adjust to your preference.
Highly recommended if you’re looking for authentic Thai food with great service. I will definitely come back again! Even when I ordered takeout around close to closing time, the restaurant still accepted my order. The chef and cashier knew I was hungry and I know myself it looks bad when you come around closing time, but they still took the time to cook for me. That kindness really meant a lot and made the food taste even better. You can truly feel the heart behind this place, not just the food.
Food that my family and I recommend
– Pad Kee Mow
– Pad See Ew
– Thai Fried Rice
– Basil Fried Rice
– Beef & Broccoli
– Beef Basil
– Green Curry
– Panang Curry
– Thai Curry Noodle Soup
– Mango Sticky Rice
– CashewNut Chicken1
– Ginger Chicken
– Tom Kha Soup
– Crab Rangoon
– Crispy Roll Chicken
– Fresh Roll Shrimp
The worst: The Crab Rangoon was a grainy tasteless mess, and did not taste like crab or cheese. Worst I’ve ever had. The crispy chicken rolls were also grainy and tasted nothing like chicken. Worse yet, they tasted like they had been fried and re-fried in vegetable oil all day, and then re-heated. Disgusting. The beef was rubbery. Overall, it’s clear they don’t use fresh ingredients.
The bad: The Tom Kha soup was a greasy and tomato-based watery broth, which should have had a coconut milk broth. How do you make Tom Kha soup greasy? They figured out how.
The unique but creepy: The music they played all-too-loudly on the overhead speakers was mostly 1980s songs, but with a creepy, breathy lady lounge singer lilting songs like “Forever Young” and “Lady in Red”. Reminded me of the movie “Lost in Translation,” with the creepy, maudlin American lounge singer lady whispering kitschy well-known tunes before bedding Bill Murray. The whole vibe was 100% “ick”, but if you like to cringe, it’s worth a visit just for the novelty and a laugh.
The okay: The Massaman Curry flavor was not bad, with a coconut milk texture that was well-seasoned to be sweet and spicy. If not for the rubbery beef, this would have been a decent dish. The beef tasted synthetic, or like it was on the verge of going bad.
The good: Their chicken in the Tom Kha soup actually tastes like chicken, and the mango smoothie was more like a slushie but still decent. The mangos were not quite ripe enough and the sticky rice was watery, but compared to everything else these were at least tasting like actual food.
The excellent: their service is excellent.
Unfortunately, while these are truly nice people, their food is sub-par and there are plenty of decent Thai restaurants nearby with better and fresher food for the same price with music that won’t creep you out.
No complaints on the service. Overall I’m a very satisfied regular customer
If you prefer to eat in, they do have a quaint little dining room. If you just want some take out, its best to call ahead to place your order since wait times can be upwards of 30 minutes, and longer on weekends. They are closed on Sunday’s, but don’t worry, their Main Street location is open on Sunday’s if you don’t mind driving a little further.
Highly recommended!
Food was very tasty and service was fast. Would definitely come again. Next time will probably try the kao soi.
