Colleagues recommended I go to Fogo de Chao. I should have listened. This brand has truly fallen. Will never patron TdB again.

My partner and I visited this location on Friday, December 12 for our anniversary. We arrived at 9pm. Although they close at 10pm, they still charge full price. So you’d expect the same level of service as any other paying customer, correct? Wrong.

We were sat in an empty area of the restaurant. Tables were dirty as shown in the pictures, with no active effort to clean in a timely manner. Only four cutters came by in a span of 20 minutes. There were no scalloped potatoes in the salad area.
Despite asking for specific cuts, none came. I never received my drink order from the bar.

My partner and I got up, spoke to the manager, and left. Will not return.

This review is based off of a dining experience on Christmas day, which I know is not ideal specifically for the staff.
A reservation was made for 7:45 and we were seated around 8:15. I do not have an issue with this.
What I do have an issue with is the cleanliness of the restaurant, the upkeep of the salad bar area and the service.
Regarding cleanliness, there were several greasy places on the floor, as well as larger particles of food. My foot slipped while walking, if I had been wearing dress shoes I would have surely fallen. Aside from safety, it was just gross to see. When sat at a back table in the corner, which I have no issue with, looking around I saw food under tables that were already prepped for new guests, but had never been swept under. There was also food particles in the normal walkway. Additionally, regarding cleanliness, some of the gauchos that came were very sloppy with setting their tray down on the table to prepare the meat for us. Some sloshed grease onto our table and did not attempt to wipe it up.
Our server was not attentive at all, but I do not know how many tables that she had to handle for that night. We many times had empty glasses for extended periods of time. The only thing we were drinking was water, so I felt like it would have been easy to refill more often.
I attended the salad bar and there were many items that were not restocked, including the au gratin potatoes, rice and other items. The salad bar also had several places where dressings, food and oil had been dropped and not cleaned. Understanding that this is a busy area, that was not as important but definitely worth mentioning.
I had never been to this location and won’t be returning. I’m sure that it was difficult to staff Christmas day, but if that is the case, they should have remained closed instead of giving diners that expect a typical Brazilian experience, something subpar instead.
My only other complaint, which is probably a positive for some families that dine here, is that a side brought to the table is French fries…very odd. I have never had French fries at a churrascaria before and I don’t think it adds to the experience, unless you have children that are picky eaters. It made the experience seem very cheap.

Staff are professional and attentive. Food is delicious with a nice variety of meats, vegetables, other dishes, breads, and desserts. I have been to other locations and this one is just as nice. The interior temperature is comfortable. I chose to eat my vegetables before selecting meats. The meats arrive hot, but cool down quickly. The parmesan chicken seemed to have bone splinters, so we only ate one each. The other meats were fabulous. I especially enjoyed the lamb.

This placed ruined Fogo de chao for me. Went there for an early Valentine’s Day celebration with the missus and had a wonderful time. The service was exceptional, our waitress was very kind and helpful with recommendations and even brought us out a Valentine’s Day treat on the house. Loved their meat selection, usually places like this are skimpy with the nicer cuts like fillet but they brought it out readily for us. The buffet was high quality and delicious I especially loved the thin sliced cinnamon pineapple. Come here for a decadent meal and then go walk it off along Stacy trail right behind the restaurant.

Went here for an early valentines dinner with the husband and had an amazing time. Diana was our server and she added to the experience! She was really kind and patient with us, especially since it was our first time.

The self serve buffet had a large selection to choose from, and they were all soooo good. Honestly I’d come here just to eat stuff from the buffet lol. The potato salad was chef’s kiss.

The meat options were just as good, especially the filet mignon and the different steaks.

Will definitely be returning! Texas de Brazil is now our go to for a Brazilian steakhouse experience!

Second time at this location and it was my best experience yet and I’ve been going for years food was perfect and every way. Meats so tender and always available. Food was fresh and delicious. Had lunch and two drinks from the bar. Atmosphere was great for a lunch date and restaurant was spotless from the front door to the bathrooms. The manager Valeria helped me pull off something special for my other half and I’m so grateful. Great staff and experience. Definitely a must experience and don’t hesitate to ask Valeria for whatever you need she’s got you!

Decently good. Steak is always good, but long wait even with reservation. Crammed seating like they pushed too many tables, felt like walking through a packed club. Slow on the steak services, and always have the peppered angus . They were accommodating when we requested a meat. Nice view from the balcony just sardine squished in there. You can definitely hear everyone’s conversations they are so close to you it’s like a family table. Price is decent.

Definitely a must if you visit Dallas!

We came for my husband’s birthday and everything was on point.

The salad bar is fresh and even if you just have greens and dressing, you won’t be disappointed. Definitely start off with a cocktail or glass of wine to get your appetite going.

Monica was awesome, she checked on us at the right time each time, kept our waters full and drinks ordered. My mom likes her meats cooked a little more past medium, they were happy to cook some for her, no question! (The meats are medium rare, which I love, but that’s a preference)

Personally, going Sunday evening is the best time, not to crowded and the servers always had what we wanted for options, 5 stars all around!

Texas de Brazil is always a solid choice when you’re in the mood to eat a lot. The meat selection is great and everything comes tasty. The buffet table has a good variety too with and sides that actually taste good (especially the potatoes). Lunch on Fridays is a really good deal and makes it feel totally worth it. Definitely a spot I frequently go back to. Would recommend making a reservation in advance.

Was really looking forward to coming here. I was disappointed with the service and the food. My water and bread were empty for a while multiple times. The meat was dry. I have never had this experience at the other steakhouses I have visited. I spit out multiple bites of food for being to dry or tough. The gentlemen serving the meats were great and the bread was delicious but I will not be returning. Overall bad experience.
