This French restaurant is pretty charming. I came here with my father and sister to have a father daughter dinner. We came for dinner around 7:30pm and got a table for 3. We were seated quickly despite there being a nice crowd in the restaurant. The bar area was packed with patrons so this restaurant is definitely popular. For starters we got the pork belly confit and Korean duck buns. Both appetizers were delicious. When eating the pork belly confit make sure to eat it with the Crispy Scallion Pancake, Apple Relish, Maple Creme Fraiche because it helped with cutting out the pork belly fat taste and it tastes great together. But if I had to choose between the two appetizers definitely get the Korean duck buns they were so good. For my entree I got the Tom Yum Noodle Bowl and I will admit it was not my favorite and I still had a big portion leftover. My sister got the special which was a lamb with pasta and after having a little taste of it I wish I got that instead. My dad got the crispy chicken breast and he threw down. His plate was clean so that should tell you something right there. I say definitely check this restaurant out. It gives intimate so it is honestly the perfect spot for a cute date night.

Good: creme brulee, lobster bisque*
Ok: miso salmon, gratin potatoes, duck

Asterisk because I enjoyed it but it was not at all what I was expecting. The lobster bisque was more tomato bisque with some lobster in it rather than lobster bisque. It was enjoyable once I stopped being disappointed that it wasn’t what I expected from lobster bisque.

The flavor on the duck was nice but I found it to be somewhat gristly and required a lot of chewing with the indigestible “meat bubblegum” texture left at the end.

The salmon was cooked a little under with the center still having the raw fish texture (rather than just lightly translucent) and the fried rice they served with it had an incredibly greasy texture like the pan/oil wasn’t hot enough and it all got absorbed into the rice.

The gratin potatoes were not as flavorful as I expected and very heavy.

The creme brulee was also lightly flavored though you could see the speckles from the vanilla bean which was nice.

Overall it wasn’t a bad meal, but for the price I definitely expected better.

As a side note (not part of the rating) you can hear the conversations from every table which can make it an unpleasant experience.

Stepping into this French bistro felt like a mini-trip to Paris. While the ambiance was charming, the unexpected star of the evening was the delightful noodle bowl – a surprising and delicious departure from classic French fare. Their cocktail menu also offered some truly creative and well-executed options. Though I came expecting traditional dishes, these unique highlights made for a memorable experience. I’d definitely return to explore more of their inventive offerings alongside a perfectly mixed drink. Only issue is their service. They are under staffed and that results in giving less attention to customers.

Cozy, relaxing atmosphere inside this two-level restaurant that blends Manhattan vibes with small-town charm. The food lived up to the hype – our favorites were the pork belly appetizer, NY steak, lobster pasta, and soup. We also enjoyed the charcuterie board, which offered a nice selection. Although the staff was polite, the service was notably slow, with long waits between courses. Overall, it’s a bit pricey, but the amazing food makes it worth it.

Love the drinks and food but honestly def horrible experience with Dylan … was mean and making fun of me for no reason. I get it that bartenders have a bit and put on a show for tips but he was mean to me to the point where I left because he wouldn’t drop the act. All I asked was if he knew any good places near by that he recommended and he kept insulting and egging on me. My friends even agreed it was excessive and he should have dropped the act a long time ago.
He insulted me on my drink choice, I asked for recommendations and he kept egging on me … that was no problem but it never stopped

Outside of Dylan, I really enjoyed my time with Lay (not sure his full name) but he was always very sweet and nice from the beginning and was always respectful each time I’ve been here.

I’ll definitely come back but this bartender definitely ruined my most recent experience.

The salmon was nicely cooked and very tender. It came with fried rice that was also cooked correctly. I loved the bread that was served. John the waiter was excellent and was always there for us. I would not get the blackberry tart for desert. The taste was less than expected.

Quality of food has gone down since last time I was here. This used to be hi-end restaurant. Wild mushrooms soup was bland; Escargots are not with the typical french green garlic butter; Mama Verve Crab Cake as entrée was crab cakes on a arugula/cherry tomatoes salad (!), which I find unacceptable for the price and the crab cakes seemed far from high end lump meat crabcake; Parisian Style Cheesecake was excellent!; the blueberry tart cream was too runny; Service was good; I was looking so much forward to come back and was disappointed.

My dad, sister, and I recently had the pleasure of dining at Verve, and let me tell you, it was an experience to remember! From the moment we walked in, we were captivated by the elegant yet cozy ambiance. The decor was a perfect blend of modern chic and classic charm, making it a delightful setting for our family outing.

We began our meal with the charcuterie board, which was an absolute feast for the senses. The selection of cured meats, artisanal cheeses, and accompaniments was both diverse and exquisite. Each bite offered a new combination of flavors, and we couldn’t get enough of the perfectly paired condiments and fresh bread.

Next up, we indulged in the truffle mac and cheese, which was nothing short of heavenly. The rich, creamy sauce was infused with just the right amount of truffle, creating a luxurious dish that was both comforting and sophisticated. The pasta was cooked to perfection, and the crispy breadcrumb topping added a delightful crunch.

Our salads were equally impressive, showcasing fresh, vibrant ingredients that were expertly dressed and beautifully presented. Each salad was a testament to the quality and care that Verve puts into their dishes, offering a refreshing and flavorful complement to the heartier items on our table.

Throughout our meal, the service was impeccable. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, providing excellent recommendations and ensuring that our dining experience was flawless from start to finish. Their warm hospitality made us feel right at home and added a personal touch to our evening.

Overall, our visit to Verve was a fantastic dining experience. The combination of exceptional food, stunning atmosphere, and top-notch service made for a memorable night out with my family. We left feeling satisfied and eager to return, knowing that Verve has set a new standard for our dining adventures.

Came here for our anniversary. Was really looking forward to the experience due to the menu and previous reviews. First of all, the ambience was super cool. Definitely a fun and easy going vibe. Second, the service was wonderful. Very responsive and happy to explain the menu items.
Unfortunately those were the biggest positives. The food left us really disappointed. Got the crispy pork belly appetizer. The glaze on the pork belly didn’t really work for us. Also the scallion pancake underneath was so hard that you could barely cut it was a knife.
For entrees we got the burger and the sea bass. The burger was cooked as requested but didn’t come with any lettuce tomato onion. It didn’t say it came with that on the menu, but I would think that’s a relatively standard accompaniment to a burger. Maybe the waiter could’ve asked if that was wanted. The burger was overall just OK. The fries were super yummy – reminded us of five guys (that’s a compliment). The sea bass was pretty disappointing. The only taste was on the crust – but the rest of the fish was pretty bland. By the end of the meal we didn’t want to risk getting a dessert for concerns it would be as disappointing as the rest of the meal. A final positive, the drinks were pretty solid.
Lots of positive reviews so maybe was just an off night, but we won’t be returning.

I had the pleasure of spending an evening at an event at Verve. The owner has a deep passion for client satisfaction, offering outstanding service and white linen dining dining culinary experience. The restaurant offers a welcoming and charming appeal, only to be matched by the carefully constructed straightforward dishes. The regulars come in for time and time again. My recommendation is the duck. The owner, Rick sets high standards so you will never leave disappointed.
