I’ve been a loyal customer of Jakeeno’s for nearly 30 years, which is why this was so disappointing.
After staff told me to return the next day, I came back while the restaurant was open for business, yet I was stopped at the door and told they were hosting a private party. When I asked about reordering the pizza, the owner/manager appeared annoyed and said, “We have a private party now, so I’ll refund you later,” followed by, “You can’t expect to return a pizza half eaten,” in a rude, accusatory tone.
I wasn’t demanding a refund—only basic courtesy. The restaurant was technically open, but clearly unwelcoming.
The manager loudly proclaimed I would be refunded. While I disagree with how I was treated, I agree a refund isn’t necessary—please keep it. I didn’t leave because of the pizza. I left because of the way I was spoken to.

I have not visited this restaurant in over 25 years. I love the atmosphere. I love the customer service. Everyone is friendly. There are lots of options however I could be wrong, but I think that most of the pizza places in this area Saint Paul and Minneapolis are using the same lasagna preparation service. I’ve been to three locations and it all taste the same. I don’t think it’s an authentic recipe anymore. I won’t order that option again maybe next time I’ll try the pizza. Also, the bread was rather hard. There was only a small amount of cheese on the pizza that’s why I added a slice of American. It just taste like an average lasagna purchased From any grocery store freezer section. I’m adding this review because a friend of my visited there right after I left TODAY and she didn’t have a happy experience. I think IM GOING TO avoid this location.

Updated review. Been going here for years. Live in the neighborhood. Has become a great neighborhood bar! Friendly staff! Excellent food! Old school pizza!! Fresh hot wings! Not fried and then refried when ordered like some places.

I had been planning to come here for over 5 years but was reluctant especially after the George Floyd situation .
We decided to stop in to catch the game and ended up trying the food.
I must say I was surprised the food was good.
We grabbed some wings n pizza They were flavorful
They also had food specials if you dine-in only.
Couple things could be improved like having more staff available by the bar or speediness of waitress needs to improve
Give celery to go with wings and stop giving one sauce with 12 wings
Stop making the ranch so watery it didn’t have no flavor also

Service was horrible and the manager was not helpful they over charged me and then said that they could not find my bill to be able to refund me.
Update: If you want to talk full story, I was not given a full refund as I should’ve been. I was discharged for multiple items. I was also mistreated and not apologize to a single time. I was, however, told that the manager was busy and could not get to me. Please see the picture of the empty restaurant.
I’ve worked in the customer service industry for over 25 years. I have never in my life been treated so disrespectfully. Nor did I ever have to raise my voice, I certainly did ask and then demand for a manager or someone who could resolve the issue, which, of course was not done.

We order pizza for a company lunch about once a month. Lately we have gotten our pies from here. 10 different pizzas always completed at the requested time and still warm and fresh when I pick them up. While I personally would like to give the staff more notice of a big order, my purchasing team generally lets me know around 8am day of. Staff has been friendly and accomodating on every occasion.
My family and I have also recently come for the Monday night AYCE spaghetti. While the noodles were a little more al dente that I prefer, still good flavor and tasted even better next day (we only got one bowl each so were able to take left overs).

Went to Jakeenos to watch the game. I got two regular beers and split two large pizzas with 2 other friends. Our waiter convinced us to order 2 large pizzas and said there was a 10$ pizza deal going for 1 topping pizzas, so we took her up on that. Turns out she lied. Our individual bills were $50 each for some cheap very average pizza and two regular beers! What a scam!
