Looking for legit southern style fried chicken with a homey comfort feel? This is the place! The fried chicken was cooked to perfection. I had the greens and cabbage. They were delicious although the cabbage was a little too sweet but I ate it all because mama always said to finish your veggies no matter what. I can’t wait to come back to try some of the other items on the menu!!

Was in town for the weekend and stumbled across Darlas, what a treat. Felt like I was walking into my grandmother’s house , the food smelled amazing soon as you walked in, the service and hospitality amazing as well. Lonnie and Chef Albert made us feel welcomed and it was amazing to hear about his lovely wife Darla who was the inspiration to the restaurant.

So my sister and her fiancé comes down from California and they were looking for a good soul food restaurant and the stumbled upon Darla’s! Now I’ve been in Vegas for 7 years and I’ve never been, hey I don’t get out much. Oh but today I got out and I walked into Darla’s ! You ever walk into a spot and it feels like home well this was it! Listen from the young lady that greeted when I walked into Darla’s to the owner who personally handed me my food on the way out, I felt like I was amongst family but that ain’t even it , it gets better cause baby when I say that when I got that bag open and I took that first bite I wanted to go back up there and tell everybody to line up and tip them all it was that damn good! Darla, who ever you are, they are standing on business about you. I have never, ever ate grits without sugar, who needs that when these grits were seasoned to perfection…. The catfish, potatoes, eggs, yams Mac n cheese oh and the peach cobbler! Mmm mmm good! When I say if you come to Vegas or stay in Vegas and you don’t or have not gone to Darla’s , run don’t walk cause they are amaaaaaaaaazing! Thank for the amazing food and service! Y’all broke the mold… I really wish I could have given you all five more damn stars ⭐️

Had the fried catfish with okra/corn and greens. Overall, the meal was ok. The catfish came to the table hot. The catfish did have seasoning, but seemed more gritty than crispy. The okra/corn did have some good flavor. The greens were so-so, there were a couple small tough stems. The plate was average at best. The wait staff was prompt and friendly. The hush puppies were crispy, but had no real discerning flavor/taste, nor did the quickly fabricated tartar sauces. There was only one or two other tables eating there during the visit. There seemed to be more order pickups. This was a late lunch around 2 pm.

We came for breakfast. 1 word EXCELLENT!! The grits are amazing. The catfish is light & crispy. The bacon is perfect.The staff is great. They welcome every customer with a smile. Definitely worth the visit. We might be back for dinner.

Who wants to pay for food that they not gonna eat or taste good? My family was Forced to eat food they wouldn’t replace. I’m surprised I didn’t take pictures. I’m good for documenting stuff at this present time. It was my grandma‘s 83rd birthday so that’s all that mattered at the moment. Originally, I wasn’t going to complain up until my mom told me that word had got back down south about us complaining. Remind you it had to be 15 people who ordered some food. Two people complained about their pork chops, which didn’t even look like pork chops or tasted like one. when we knew we were going to pay for something that we wasn’t going to eat and you can see we wasn’t eating it. We did not make a fuss. One person didn’t order anything else and was just disgusted and the other person ordered something else to eat cause they was hungry end up paying for two meals when asked if they were taking it off the bill the lady going to get smart and say you already ate off of it like it was really eaten off of. That was my first time there, but a few of my family members had already been there before. Let’s just say I would not go back and support this.

I like that the restaurant is small and intimate. The hostess greeted us right away and was very polite. Our waiter was a true gentlemen. It was my 1st time here and he offered his recommendations. The aroma of the food was exquisite. My southern fried chicken did not disappoint . Seasoned and fried too perfection. Im looking forward to getting the shrimp & grits on my next visit.

Before I get into the food, let me first highlight the staff and their service! When my husband and I walked in we were warmly greeted and taken to our table. My server was on point the entire time, and even though the place was packed her attentiveness and her presence did not lack.
Now on to the food. My goodness the menu was filled with comfort classic dishes that make you feel like you are back home at grandma’s house. Every dish I tried was full of flavor and so authentic, you could taste absolutely taste the love put into this food.

Darlas, A hidden gem located on the West Side of Las Vegas, Darla’s restaurant is clean. Our server, Aricka, welcomed us with Southern Hospitality and charm. The service was fast, and the food was delicious. I would have given Darla five stars, but my fish was fried slightly too hard. We ordered their catfish, waffles, and French toast, and none of these dishes disappointed. Their prices were reasonable and a lovely way to start our Saturday morning. We dined at Darla’s for a birthday brunch and plan to eat here again soon.
