Service is always good , Karina waited on us and she was very friendly. Manager gave us complimentary guacamole that was little to be desired , didn’t taste fresh, didn’t have a good color. The Birria tacos were just “ok” , probably wouldn’t order them again. Enchiladas with green sauce chicken and cheese were decent. Salsa was good but chips tasted stale. Margaritas were ok, not strong enough (due to Utah drinking laws)

They have really good molcajetes! Whenever we come here we always order the ranchero one. Definitely recommend ordering it too. Great service and everyone is super friendly.

We recently at for the first time at La Paisa in West Valley. I grew up near the border and so I’m kind of choosy about the difference between Mexican food and food passed off as Mexican. First, freshly made chips and handmade tortillas. A great start. The house salsa is fine but they have an adobo salsa that is spicier and, in my opinion, better, but ask. We had the queso flameado – oaxacan cheese melted in an iron skillet. We asked our waitress if they could add roasted peppers and she did. We split the carne asada plate which came with a big steak, rice, beans, and real guacamole with whole chunks of avocado. I had the Aljambres, which was a cast iron skillet with thinly sliced pork, chicken and beef with onions and chilis not was tasty. Both entrees were huge. We also had their mezcal-tamarind cocktail which was fantastico. Our waitress, Karina, was sweet, helpful, and attentive. A great experience.

I love this place. Lunch time all you can eat street tacos is the best. They have a lot of different options of meats. Their molcajete is amazing as well. Great place for lunch or dinner. They have a live band at nights too.

The pozole I ordered had almost no flavor. I had to add salt and the table salsa just to give it some taste. It also had very little hominy and very little meat; it was mostly broth.
I also ordered chicken flautas but they brought them with beef instead.
We ordered sopes and they arrived cold. On top of that, the food came out at completely different times: my wife’s plate arrived first, then the appetizer, and my main dish came last, so we ended up eating at different times.
The Server was polite, but the kitchen timing was clearly off.
Another thing I didn’t like is that they charge an extra 3% if you pay with a card, which adds an extra fee for customers.
Overall the experience was disappointing.
