Pretty good experience. Seasonal drink agave shadow had peppercorn flavor and chili bitters but didn’t really taste very spicy but not bad either! Bar tender Charles was friendly and attentive. Ambiance was good! Might have to sit inside diner part next time!

This place has the BEST vanilla pancakes and thai chili wings. I always have a great experience. It’s a beautiful place, there are lights everywhere which is one of my favorite things. The atmosphere is great. I’ve been here so many times. We always request Dorie who works the bar/inside and each time she’s really great. Also, parking is rough to find my partner as times has to circle around the area to find a spot.

I wanted to try this place. The overall atmosphere is cool. It was a slow night, but I had to ask the waitress if I could order due to her being on her phone. The drinks were so so. The food was fine. but I wouldn’t recommend or go again.

Love this place. The food is fantastic, the drinks dangerously delicious, and the staff is wonderful. I cannot recommend it enough.
The chicken and waffles is like a northern take on southern chicken and waffles, and executed very well. The short rib grilled cheese is killer, and the jalapeño cornbread with honey on the side is yummy! I wish the cornbread had more jalapeño in it, but I’m a spicy food lover so that might not be everyone else’s take.
The apple pie was soooo freaking good too!
In terms of seating and noise, the seats weren’t the most comfortable thing in the world if you’re sensitive to that, and it does get a little noisy, so be aware if you’re hard of hearing.
We had a fantastic time, and I hope to come again soon to try out more dishes!

I recently visited Silk City Diner in Philadelphia for a Saturday brunch, and overall, it was a solid experience! I’ve been here twice before, and this time didn’t disappoint.
We chose to sit outside, which I was initially hesitant about, but it turned out to be a great choice. The atmosphere was relaxed, and the weather was perfect. The service was also a highlight – friendly, attentive, and quick, which is always appreciated when you’re hungry.
Now for the food: The bacon was crispy, and the eggs were cooked just right. My friend had the chicken and waffles, and he loved it – the waffle was fluffy, and the chicken had a great crunch. Unfortunately, the grits were the one letdown. They were bland and lacked seasoning, which was disappointing.
Later on, my mom joined us and ordered the vegan burger. To my surprise, she really enjoyed it, which was a nice bonus.
Overall, Silk City Diner has a lot to offer in terms of food and service, though the grits could definitely use some improvement. I’ll be back for those chicken and waffles, though!

5 stars!! Such a great Sunday morning staple:) Got the breakfast burrito and the banana French toast, as well as the omelette. Super great at catering towards substitutions.

Imagine a 1950’s diner that merges with a covered beer garden, where each sections serves great drinks, comfort food (love the fried chicken), and Asian inspired dishes. That’s Silk City. The staff is efficient, friendly and they knowledgable. Trust the recommendations. The decor ranges from deco to funk, and artistic ironwork adorns the garden windows. The dinning environment is comfortable and clean, with a great sound track and lively but not obnoxious convo.
