Tony Eats Pizza
This is Luna Pizza’s third location (other locations: Oakboro, Mt Gilead). I really wanted to like this place, but it fell flat.
The service was bad, some of the worst we have had. We had to knock on the kitchen door after about 5 minutes of sitting in the restaurant to get seated. We then proceeded to have to knock on the door every time we wanted something (silverware, refill, check). The lady was at least nice when interacting with us.
The garlic knots were just very bland and a little hard, probably some of the worst I have ever had.
The pizza was ok, but pretty expensive for what it was. I won’t be coming back, there are too many other good pizza options in the area.

I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while and finally decided to give it a shot Sunday night. I ordered the meatball sub and fries and it was ready for pickup in about 15 minutes. The lady at the front was friendly and checkout was easy. The meatball sub was actually really good. The flavor was awesome, consistency of the meatballs were good (seemed fresh too), and there was just enough sauce to not make it mushy or dry. The bread was also fresh. Presentation could use some work, but I would absolutely order this again.

We really like this place. The pizza is tasty and the salads are fresh. And they are in our neighborhood! However, we’ve been three times and they have been out of vegan cheese all three times, which is disappointing. We would choose the dairy-free option if we could. They were also out of their GF crust this past time. Our friends were disappointed in that.

Pizza and wings were pretty decent, service was friendly. Not from here so I’m not used to so many pizza places being closed or opening after 1pm on a Sunday, especially during football season. They open early enough to get back with your food before the games start.

I ordered To-Go; two slices from the lunch special list and when I got home and opened the box. I found two cheese pizza slices; I ordered pepperoni- Let me be clear it had pepperoni on it…however they had added fresh cheese and pepperoni on top of already cooked cheese pizza. It looked so wrong. I do not do reviews very often but this was insane. How can you have slice spacial and really not have made fresh pizza pies. I rather of waited a bit longer to get a properly made pizza. Also, the pizza had ZERO flavor. It was horrific !!! On the up side the slices were large. I tried to upload the phto of the pizza but it says Error…Ill try again later.

Took several moments to be greeted and it was apparent the 1 server was doing much more than serving.
Food was not good.
My husband got a Cesar salad, which came out not as a Cesar salad.
Pizza was cardboardy.
Even though there was only 1 other table, it took a long time for everything.
Seemed like all staff was on a break and finally came back to cook food that was ordered 30 mins before hand.
Server was doing her best but it’s just a poorly managed place.
Overall not a great experience.

Great showing on the first night. They handled the volume of customers and service well. Our food, pizza and a meatball sub were very good and we will return. We got takeout so we didn’t really experience the atmosphere. Nice job to the owners and staff!

I have had cheesesteaks numerous times. the best around and I’ve checked them all. I’ve never had a bad pizza but must say the pizza I ordered today was by far the best pizza I think I’ve ever eaten.
