Such a great place to eat, a little hidden gem in Redford! Service was great by all employees, especially “D” he was real nice and personable and took pride in the business! Nice people!
All the Italian subs come in one size, I think 10-12 inch, it’s just the thickness of the meat and cheese that you get to choose from 6-12 layers! I got the 8 layer, and it was delicious! The bread is fresh and tasty, and the meat is also very fresh! You can also get deli sides such as macaroni salad, pasta salad, to go along with your sandwich, the prices are very reasonable and the food is excellent!
Recommend, we will be back!

Best sub you can get especially for the price. Their bang bang shrimp is to die for. I literally go here at least a few times per month. Found them on Facebook and nowhere ever lives up to the hype but their subs are SO good. Literally like homemade and they carry the great lakes Parmesan ranch style chips which are literally the best. 10/10 recommend!

Tried Gonella’s for the first time and went with the smoked turkey sandwich, fully loaded. The ingredients were super fresh and the turkey had nice flavor, but overall it didn’t leave a lasting impression. Even the sauce didn’t pop like I hoped. That said, it’s a good quality sandwich and a full meal (chips + water) for just $10.76… can’t be mad at that.

Sad to say we are disappointed with the Italian subs today. They used to be delicious. The meat has no flavor, neither does the cheese. They forgot the dressing too. Really nice staff and the place is always clean, but I’m afraid that the quality and the famous taste of these subs is a thing of the past.
From now on, I’ll stick with Jersey Mikes.

This is OG cold cut deli sub sandwiches and I love the owner, treat him right and he will do the same to you, it’s all about respect, he got it for you so show him some back! Subs are made to order and always great. Good variety of side items and drinks to grab with the subs. Always recommending this place to friends, family and even enemies, why not? North of Detroit i switched to this location, originally in dearborn, now Redford. Without a doubt the best dam Italian subs in the state (probably the country)! Everything is always fresh, and delicious. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Absolutely love the guys! Party trays/ platters are amazing as well. Will continue to frequent these guys for the foreseeable future.

Get sandwiches all the time here…only reason i go is for the red sauce/spicy italian. Today there were no sides left, yet there was a big bottle of red sauce back there that could have very very very easily been put into a side cup, yet instead he kept telling me i could only get it on the sandwich and not on the side, i prefer my sandwiches not to be on soggy bread so i get sauce on the side. After today i probably wont be back….ill take my business to Firehouse subs instead, i can get a side of any sauce i want there with no argument.
I could have just gone to Gonellas across the street from my house instead of driving 6miles to the Telegraph store if i wanted a plain average sandwich…

Detroit’s BEST Sub. I’m a big guy, and Italian, I know my my way around some food. This is THE best Italian sub I’ve ever had, so authentic and absolutely delicious. Saw it on ChowDownDetroit, had to try, and so happy I did. The team was great, owner was so dang nice. Get the 8-Layer, add Banana Peppers
