Everything we ordered was made to our choice of spice level (medium hot). Service was quick as it was not yet crowded. They did a good job of explaining how big the spread was of each dish so we could make informed choices. We especially loved the samosa chat and bhindi masala.Rasmalai was great as well. Would definitely recommend!

We ordered a paneer lababdar to-go and it was so good that we went for a dine in. Ordered alloo tikki which was really good. Vegetarian noodles were also tasty. Kadhai paneer was served with tikki and noodles while naan was served 10-15min later, did not understand why they did that. Kadhai paneer was not good but their chilli naan was nice. Strawberry shikanji was also good.

We were searching for a good Halal spot in Banff and ended up at Safron Indian Bistro, right in the heart of downtown. The staff member who helped us was really friendly and recommended the Chicken Tikka Masala and Biryani.
The dishes were definitely on the spicier side compared to what we usually eat, but the flavors were great, especially the biryani, which paired perfectly with the raita (a yogurt-based sauce). ️ The heat actually turned out to be a bonus and kept us warm in the chilly Banff weather! ️
Overall, a nice Halal option in Banff with tasty food and welcoming service.

The food was delicious we had a Chicken Tikki Masala, Butter Chicken, and two Chicken Korma entrees. We also ordered two sides of rice and garlic naan bread, ONE order of each would have been more than plenty to split between four people to accompany the entrees which do not include rice. An order of naan is three large pieces of naan. The only reason we didn’t give it a 5 star rating was the very few pieces of chicken to the ratio of sauce in the entrees.

We happened by Saffron when walking around town looking for dinner options. It smelled amazing so we went in and had one of the best meals of our lives! Everything was delicious but the naan and the mushroom chettinad especially were incredible.

We have been staying in Banff town for past 3 days. This is our to go place daily we came here (as in past we have visited some other restaurants too) . But let me tell you this is surely one of the affordable and tasty foods around the town.
We had paratha platter with 2 masala chai. (Breakfast)
For dinner we had paneer lababdar, roti and lacchha paratha. It’s was fantastic. Plus on that service by Cherry and Kashish was amazing.
We also had their Saffron Special Rose Milkcake, it was really good. (Specially if you don’t like too sweet like me, attached photo)
I would surely recommend anyone visiting Banff and looking for tasty Indian food.

We were on our vacation to Banff, visited this restaurant on the go. Food was so delicious and you can customize the spice levels accordingly too. Surprisingly they treated us with a complimentary cheese cake on the occasion of our anniversary, it was so sweet of them. Thanks to the staff 🙂
