I’ve noticed that I only take the trouble and the time to review restaurants that I like and this is one of those. I live in the waiter, but I was in the area so I decided to give this place a try after hearing so many good things about it. It did not disappoint.. I was there on December 19 right when the doors opened at 8 o’clock in the morning place is very clean. People are very friendly and helpful and the food was very good. They were playing music over the loud speakers that a boomer like myself really enjoyed. I really enjoy the experience and I plan on eating there again next time I’m in the area. It was well worth the price.

In a pouring rain storm…the place was PACKED! We had to wait…maybe because it was an unexpected rainstorm? Expensive ( 20.00 OMELETTES) but you get a lot of food…the Omelettes are cooked to perfection! I know there is flavor in brown just not on EGGS! They are cooked thru ( no runny parts) and no brown eggs! This is literally an Omelette that you would get in Paris… hash browns are great too! (my one complaint…they don’t have sour cream! I like sour cream on my hash browns) parking is a bit harrowing. You may have to drive around a bit..worth it! Great vibes and food. I don’t eat meat but they have Harris ranch burgers and they look incredible…the biscuit was great too.I had to have it heated up cause it was a tad cold..they heated it the oven and it was amazing with whipped butter..they also need a few more choices of jam..grape jelly has got to go…great meal…this is a great ole time restaurant!

This place is amazing it’s as popular as it is for a reason. The pancakes are perfection. Fluffy, buttery, and delicious. The platter is the right balance of sweet and savory with the protein options. They have plenty of other things on the menu, but this is what keeps me coming back. The staff are all really nice. There’s often a line to get in and get a table (worth it) but if you’re okay with sitting at the bar top you can often get in faster. I went with out of town family last time so I got strawberry mimosas and loved being able to do the self serve from the bottle.

I’ve been a loyal customer of Pann’s for many years, and there’s a good reason why I keep coming back! The restaurant is consistently spotless, tables are cleared with impressive speed, ensuring a smooth dining experience.

Every dish I’ve had is served fresh, hot, and utterly delicious, a true testament to the kitchen’s quality. Moreover, the majority of your team is incredibly friendly and embodies excellent customer service, making every visit enjoyable.

However, I’ve consistently observed a specific issue with the greeter at the front door. On multiple occasions, this individual’s demeanor has been less than welcoming, sometimes appearing quite rude.

I’ve also noted a difference in how she interacts with customers, specifically seeming to exhibit more attitude towards female patrons compared to male patrons. As the first point of contact, A GREETER PLAYS A CRUCIAL ROLE in setting the tone for the entire visit.

Unfortunately, this particular staff member’s approach sometimes detracts from the otherwise wonderful atmosphere and the positive impressions created by the rest of your dedicated team.

While her behavior hasn’t deterred me from returning due to the fantastic food and the superb service from others, it does make me hesitate when considering bringing out-of-town guests, as I’d want their initial welcome to reflect the true warmth of Pann’s.

I offer this as constructive feedback, hoping it might prompt a reflection on the placement of staff in front-facing roles, ensuring every customer’s journey begins with a truly welcoming smile.

Pann’s is a gem, and addressing this would make the experience truly perfect.

There is an old school outside architecture and inside vibe; think late 1950s. Music matched the vibe. Patio, counter seating, and table service were all open and available at my weekday breakfast time. I opted for the counter. My server was immediately at hand and friendly. He attentively checked in during the meal to ensure all needs were met. The menu provided a lot of eating options. I went for the half a waffle (don’t pass on this waffle!), 2 side choices and 2 eggs cooked to order. My sides were a very fresh fruit medley and a hot link. Hint to Texas transplants…the hot link is not greasy and is a custom blend unique to Pann’s. Regrettably, it isn’t available elsewhere. I asked. And, yes, it’s spicy hot. All in all..they’ve nailed their food niche. I very highly recommend you visit!

Pann’s is an LA landmark for a reason. I’ve been a long-time fan, and the food has remained consistently delicious over the years. The service is also spectacular—everyone is so friendly and attentive.
While the atmosphere has changed a bit over the past few years, the heart of the restaurant is still there. On a recent visit, the inside was completely packed with a crowd of people waiting to get in, but we opted to sit outside and were seated right away. The outdoor seating is a great new addition and offers a wonderful dining experience. If you’re looking for great food, excellent service, and a piece of Hollywood history, you can’t go wrong with Pann’s.

The building and interior are amazing, you have to visit. The food was really great too. The pancakes were so light, best diner pancakes I’ve had.
My server Brenda was amazing she made the visit even better by giving me such a great experience, she is an absolute darling and the reason for posting this 10/10 review.
I will be back.

First time visiting and we loved it. Delicious food, attentive service (10/10), and highly recommend. The chicken wings were spectacular and same with the waffles and pancakes.

What a fun dining experience! Was in LA for work and my team ate breakfast here 3 times! Nostalgic environment, generous portions, and super efficient staff. We enjoyed the classic 1958 breakfast.

We were on location shooting at LAX and asked Google for the best breakfast close by and it directed us to Pann’s. Apprehensive at first, it looks like a Denny’s out of the 50s as you arrive, but inside we found outstanding service topped by even better food. This joint is iconic, clean, and efficient. We sat at the counter and had a great experience. It was so cool to see all of the movies that have been shot here and we all recognized it once inside. HIHGLY recommend! We will be back on every visit to LAX.
