Shameless Grounds is a sex-positive coffeeshop and café. We have great coffee, delicious food, beer, wine, and cocktails. Great for relaxing, hanging with friends, reading, studying or attending any of our various events, we are open to all, and have a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. Discussion of sexuality and adult themes does take place, so a parent or guardian must accompany any customers below 18 years-of-age. We’re not dirty, sleazy, or in-your-face about it… in fact, most of the time we’re pretty much just like any other coffeeshop. We’re just not ashamed of human sexuality. 🙂

If you’re looking for a place where your inner 12-year-old boy mentality can giggle uncontrollably while your adult self enjoys a damn fine cup of coffee, Shameless Grounds in St. Louis is your nirvana. It’s in the Benton Park neighborhood at 1901 Withnell Ave and is a sex-positive café that has been making uptight people uncomfortable since 2011. and we love that!
Upon entering, you’re greeted by an atmosphere that’s as cozy as your grandma’s living room if your grandma was into risqué literature and cheeky décor. The walls are lined with human sexuality lending literature.
Now, let’s talk about the menu. I couldn’t resist ordering the “Morning Wood,” a breakfast bowl. The combination of eggs, cheese, and your choice of meat or veggies so satisfying, it almost made me mature. Almost. The staff here are friendly and inclusive, making everyone feel welcome.
Shameless Grounds isn’t just about food and drinks; it’s a community hub. They offer free STI testing every other Friday and provide an array of safe sex supplies at no cost. Because nothing says “I care” like grabbing a coffee and a handful of condoms on your way out.

I was looking for a coffee spot to try for today, I saw this name & had to come here. I had a bottomless coffee & a delightful treat. I have to mention the House-made Gooey Butter Cake first. OMG, it was so good. I would definitely have to limit myself on those, they’re that good. The coffee is wonderful too; had a medium roast with half & half. The people working were very nice & great with helping me with any questions. They have comfortable seating on the inside & a nice patio area outback. They have a fire pit. I recommend coming here if you’re wanting to grab a coffee & a delicious butter cake.

Absolutely amazing place with equally amazing people and food! It’s always inviting, tidy, and the atmosphere is great to chat, play games, or just chill on the patio (which allows dogs)! Our pup always gets spoiled by the staff. They also have a really excellent library and a corner art and adult toy shop.

Stopped by for breakfast during my visit from Michigan by recommendation from a friend and was not disappointed! They have great vibes – super friendly and I felt so welcome here. The menu is punny and the patio was a nice place to relax and enjoy the fresh air. The drinks are yummy and breakfast hit the spot. Definitely would stop by again if I’m in the area!

I came here to check out a new coffee shop with a unique vibe. I ordered an iced caramel latte and a gooey butter cake. The interior is so cozy and inviting. I would love to come here next time, just hang out with my laptop and lounge. The staff was super friendly, and I got my order in mere minutes! If you’re looking for a new coffee shop in town, I highly recommend this coffee shop. It passed my vibe check.

Some of the best coffee and food in the area. Excellent service, atmosphere, and down to earth staff won me over and keep me coming back year after year. It’s a place every respectful person can feel accepted and respected.
They also have one of the most amazing patios for cocktail sipping.

I was in STL for the weekend for a wedding and wanted to be sure to patronize local businesses, bonus points if they were queer owned. So I searched and this came up and I’m soooo glad it did! Whether you’re part of the queer, kink, leather, poly, lifestyle communities or just a straight vanilla ally who wants a damn good meal and a cup of coffee, you will feel welcome here. The decor is cozy. The food slaps (with consent). And the menu all has cheeky names. Lots of cool vendors sell their wares there also! Unfortunately most things that sparked my fancy would have gotten confiscated at the airport or wouldn’t fit in my already full carry on so I settled on some cute stickers and buttons to take a piece back home for me and my partners.

Great spot for brunch (or breakfast) if you’re looking for a chill yet quaint setting, you’ll understand why it’s called Shameless as soon as you enter haha. Food was tasty and staff were friendly. Very clean. As for taste I call only speak to the dishes my wife and I ordered but after seeing other orders coming out I’m confident in saying you could order anything off the menu and your tastebuds would be completely satisfied…

Service is absolutely horrible. Lady at cashier “Stephanie” horrible attitude rug hr off the bat. Tried to make her smile and she just got even more ignorant. Should really look met who you hire as staff and make sure they’re ready to take on the role of customer service WITH A SMILE!! have happy day.

Shameless is my go-to cafe for brunch, coffee, and a good atmosphere. The menu has a great variety of food (though I normally stick with the “Morning Woodstocker” or “Lumberjacker”), the coffee is satisfying, and the staff are always kind. Great place for reflection and connection
Oh! And I love the brownies and zucchini bread they serve.
COVID Update: They’ve been handling things well, no more bodies than the space can safely allow. And the outdoor enclosed patio seating has safely spaced-out tables.
Update 2: They’re now allowing limited indoor seating, 1-hour at a time, and there’s a set entrance door and an exit door. My favorite part about this update is that I can order bottomless coffee again
