The staff is extremely friendly and attentive. I didn’t have to ask three times for refill on my coffee they were right there. I forgot to ask for crispy hash browns and cooked on both sides, but they just did that and that is awesome. The decor is 50 style diner and I love it but it’s not full 50. the gyro omelette is amazing. Not overly spiced you get all the subtle flavors of the onions and peppers and spinach and tzatziki sauce. It comes with Swiss cheese but we chose cheddar and I think that was a better choice. Honesty, feta would have been the bomb. As it was it was off the chain and the cooks were on point. Easily shareable between two people. In fact me and my wife split it in half and got one meal out of it and then we got the other half and we’re going to get another meal out of it yet. Lot of food good value. Will definitely be back!

We love this place. Always consistently delicious. Even busy, this place hits. The crab cake Benedict is a crave worthy home run. The servings are generous, the flavor is outstanding. The staff is awesome. Been going here for over a decade and it’s worth the drive in every time. The coffee isn’t great but it is strong, just like a greasy spoon diner should be.

It was a cute dinner with fast service and good food! Great for a last weekend and just going out and getting breakfast! No wait needed and loved the fact that there was parking space behind! Super easy and don’t want to dress up, this is the place to be!

Just had an excellent late breakfast experience at the Uptown Diner. Greeted by happy faces and the great service continued throughout the meal – Thanks Jo! Everyone found something that they enjoyed, left full, and with leftovers. Carmel roll was an awesome appetizer we shared (“Can we get another one?” is high marks from any teenager)

Awesome place to grab a breakfast platter. Love their fine cut hash browns. Cooked perfect. So we’re my eggs and the biscuits were cut buttered and grilled to brown the butter and add texture. Couldn’t have done it better myself.

If you’re looking for a classic breakfast spot in St. Paul. This cozy diner serves up homemade breakfast and lunch, with a menu that highlights hearty portions and comforting flavors.
What makes it special?
Legendary hash browns: Crispy, golden, and packed with flavor, these are a must-try.
Cajun Breakfast: A fan favorite allegedly since 1987, featuring house-made hash browns, cheddar, eggs, Hollandaise sauce, and cajun spice…to be truthful I belive this was created my aliens chefs because its taste is beyond our universe.
Friendly service: The staff is welcoming and fast. Dont forget to tip your servers well!

We stayed in Uptown recently and were looking for a good breakfast spot. When I saw pictures of the hash browns I knew we had to go. We ended up going twice! The food was delicious with hearty portions. But those hash browns…they need to teach every breakfast place their secret. These were some of the BEST ones I’ve ever had! Hot, perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. I actually talked to the kitchen manager on our second visit because they need to know THIS IS HOW IT IS DONE! Nice menu, great staff and fantastic food.

First time visiting this diner.
At the time we stopped in we were instructed to seat ourselves, (I assume because there was no rush at the time)
Our waiter came over and asked what we wanted to drink.
After returning with drinks we placed our order which was delivered quickly and was good.
SERVICE:
Service was mixed. While our waiter was there at the start, he was noticeable absent towards the end of the meal, we had to reach out to a waitress to get our waiter.
FOOD:
The meals were great. We enjoyed our meal. Pancakes, french toast, sausage, bacon, and eggs were very good.
The meals were brought out in a very timely manner.
ATMOSPHERE:
No issues. Each booth had a clear plastic separator – may be a function of COVID protection.
Overall a good restaurant.

This establishment has been in my rotation for years, but I somehow have never reviewed it. That changes now. A diner. This place does their breakfast fare and sandwiches pretty well.
A fairly expansive menu, so it is challenge to not find something that appeals.
One trick that I like to do to elevate my dinner or lunch experience is to get a burger with a side of a sausage patty from the breakfast menu and add it to the sandwich. Yum!
