Their goat meat pepper soup is out of this world. It is very unique and different from other restaurants. I and my family drove an hour to get to this place, and the foods were awesome. I don’t even know where to start from. First, their rice and stew, egusi soup and ukazi Soup, is so delicious not to mention that vegetable soup because every time i think of that soup, i feel like going back there . All their food has that real home food taste. I made sure to taste every meal because while i was in London i have been hearing about Bole King in Houston, so here you go… that catfish was on another level, very delicious and perfectly grilled. Okay, now about the bole, which is the reason we are here. I must say, since I left Nigeria, I have never seen a place or heard about any restaurant that does this Port Harcourt style bole as perfectly as Bole King does it. I was born in Lagos but lived about 15 years in PH eating bole, so trust me when I tell you that Bole King in Houston is the best and in fact Nigerians in Houston don’t know how blessed they are to have this food in it’s original taste here in United States, Houston Texas to be precise. I have been ordering for the past two weeks since we got here and I don’t know how possible it will be for me to buy and travel with lots of it when going back to UK.

This food is from home …this food is from the heart…. We’ve eaten Egusi soup many places… But the taste, sweetness and satisfaction from the Egusi soup here at Bole King is truly exceptional… The Ownership team personally takes pride to ensure they exceed expectations. You will not be disappointed.

OMG, you guys, I just had the most epic dining experience at Bole king! I’m talking flavorful, spicy, and utterly authentic African cuisine that’ll transport your taste buds straight to the motherland .
The jollof rice was on point, and the Bole were so tender and juicy. I also tried the egusi soup, which was rich and savory. The portions were generous, to say the least, and the prices were super reasonable .

Wasted time and money for nothing, the catfish was not well grilled, it was still a bit bloody almost seems like it was just broiled. The bole doesn’t look like the photo, it came already soaked in an oiled stew smh, it was one big piece cut into 4 pieces, paid for extra oil sauce for no reason. The pepper soup was ridiculous I felt I was drinking spicy water, it was tasteless, super watery and lacked spices. Over $80 wasted.
