This Cook Out location maintains the brand standards of several other locations we’ve visited. Service is good and fast, and food quality is more than sufficient for the price. It’s a clean dining room and we would have no problem visiting again, when the opportunity presents itself.

I really do like this place. One thing that makes this place stand out is the fact that they will serve to anyone wether your driving, walking or on a bicycle. They have the best milkshakes around and the food always tastes great and served quick. I like how they will combine multiple flavors of shakes if you want.

Easily the best restaurant in Asheville. Menu is gloriously excessive, a fever dream of Southern fast food logic where hushpuppies, fries, and slaw coexist without apology, each delivering its small, necessary pleasure. And the milkshakes-thick, cold, borderline ridiculous- aren’t trying to be ironic or elevated; they’re there to comfort you, full stop. Cook Out doesn’t chase trends or polish its rough edges, and that’s the point. It’s food for the people, unconcerned with pretense—and in that way, it’s closer to the soul of American eating than a lot of places charging five times the price.

You want resturants like this in your city. Like, yeah it’s a fast food chain, but the service and quality vastly differs based on the location and franchise. This one just happens to be a poster child for the brand. Been here probably 10-20 times, usually so late I question who’s even making food at this hour, but this location holds strong until 3am so this is usually where I wind up. Never had any issues with accuracy and the food is always incredibly fresh. Probably due to the guy at the window, Tim, who’s a true pro at the drive-thru if any one exists, lightning fast without messing up. Might just be the only midnight or later spot you won’t regret going to. 5/5

The food is excellent, service is crap. You can patiently wait smiling for minutes while they pretend you don’t exist, and they’ll still bad mouth you over the loudspeaker for not understanding their mumbled speech the first time, and then leave without giving you an order number. But that can’t stop me from coming back for more slop, so why should I expect it to ever change?

The speaker doesn’t work that well, but even then they read your order back to you and it was correct.
We all in the group order and the guy taking our order were on the same page. We wait a while because their drive thru times are outta the roof, the guys hands us our orders their wrong, he forgot a whole tray, a shake & a sweet tea, charged us for it.
Told us if we wanted that we’d have to purchase it again & then a coworker of his asks him “I’m gonna stop trying with these drive thru times. Like what’s taking so long?” The guy at the window said “these people have had their order for a few minutes they just ordered another tray” blamed us because he couldn’t get the order right
So the issues were when having clear communication and relaying you understand the order you mess up half of it, charge us for it, and try and charge us again for the same thing we didn’t even get the first time & then talk about the customer like it’s their fault you did wrong.
If I could give zero stars i would. At 3 AM in the morning your staff isn’t doing that great

The food is good and I’m only giving this review because of the night shift. I’ve come through here twice at one in the morning and these people really just slammed the door on you it’s weird cause you never get your straw or ketchup
