Top meal of our trip so far!
Servers were friendly, helpful, kind, and overall just seemed to enjoy what they do! Our server Nico was really engaged and attentive with all the tables around us as well as answering our questions. We got the clams to start, tagliatelle with wild boar pasta, and cheesecake. Everything was SO yummy. I honestly don’t love normal cheesecake but he told us to get it and i was NOT disappointed. Super fluffy and warm.
We weren’t hungry enough to get the massive steak this round but will definitely be back for it! Overall it felt reasonably priced as well.
Overall restaurant was a cozy vibe and every table seemed really happy with their experience.

Made reservations about a month in advance….and impressed. Shared the Florentine steak recommended by our server, Nick, and it did not disappoint. Also shared a side of spinach and turned out to be just enough. Nice dimly lit ambiance, not too noisy, food came out very quickly too. Ordered a Manhattan and was nicely made. Complimentary limoncello/grappa was a nice touch. Would come back again in a heartbeat.

One of the best meals I had in Florence this time around! I cannot recommend enough that you try the Angel and Devil Gnocchi – it may have been the best thing I’ve ever had in Italy across my two visits in the last 12 months. I also had a great Hugo Spritz and I tried the blue cheese and caramelized onion ravioli, as well as some cannellini beans and some of my friend’s steak. I booked this place for the end of our time in Florence because I wanted to make sure we had a chance at trying the steak florentine before we left and it came highly recommended here, but we were a bit tired of steak by the end of our trip (I know, how is this possible??). I saw other diners enjoying the steak Florentine and it looked amazing. This place is definitely a good one for meat and steak, as was evidenced by one of our dining companion’s steak special with tartuffa.
We made a reservation weeks in advance but it was so easy to call the same day to add two more people to our table. The restaurant staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend trying this place and I will certainly return in the future.

The best steak I’ve had in my life. A dry aged enormous rib eye was only €40. The staff are stand out for sure, a special mention for Benji! The cheeseboard was exceptional and the hot cheesecake was like nothing I’ve ever tasted before. If there was one restaurant to go to in Florence, this would be my recommendation!

Food wise, Rib-eye steak and vongole pasta with a side of fresh salad were so delicious and pairing with Italian red wine could not be better 🙂
Finished off with cheese cake and espresso were top notch.
Had a really great time here during our honymoon trip to Italy.

My wife, daughter and I had lunch here today. First, Nico, our server was awesome. Gave us the scoop on all the food and was spot on. He was knowledgeable and very friendly. The food was unbelievable. My wife had an eggplant parmigiana, and my daughter and I split a gnocchi with a cheese sauce and bacon as well as some grilled chicken over an arugula salad. I cannot say enough good things about the food and service. I highly recommend this restaurant if looking for a terrific restaurant in Florence!

My all time favourite steakhouse in Florence. Every aspect was a delight from food flavours, presentation, service and ambience. They have a unique historical feature in their restaurant, a vintage wine window… see if you can find it. We had apple salad, gnocchi, steak off the bone, a clam soup, and a chowder. We have been looking forward to eating here since we made reservations 2 months ago. We were not disappointed. Instead, La Buchetta exceeded our expectations. Servers were friendly and welcoming. They paid great attention to detail and we never wanted for anything. They were always there when needed.
The food was outstanding! Gnocchi angels and demons was out of this world, it was creamy yet savory and spicy. Of course we had the Florentine steak. Unbelievably tender and flavorful… so much so that we even ate the fat. We would be regular customers if we lived here. Thank you for feeding us so well on our last night in Florence.

It was just as delicious as I expected! The atmosphere was so lively and cool, and the servers were really nice. It’s the perfect place to try Florentine steak! The 1.4 kg steak was perfect for two people ♥️

We booked a table in advance of our trip to Florence & judging by the que around the corner on a Wednesday evening it was justifiable.
The food and atmosphere were amazing. One of the best meals we have experienced in a long time.
The restaurant was small but vibrant with energy and conversation.
The service was superb, the waiters spoke excellent English and took time to explain the dishes and recommendations on wines.
We wanted to experience authentic Florentine steak and we were not disappointed.
The T bone is bought out raw and weighed on your table, giving you are idea of the price you will be paying.
We ordered a starter to share followed by the steak and side dishes of roast potatoes and beans.
The steak was cut for you at the table and it was amazing, one of the best steaks we have ever had. It came with an edible candle made of the fat. Poured over the steak it made it even more tender and full of flavour.
We would definitely recommend a visit and to book your table in advance.
