Went on Tuesday at lunch for the $1.50 tacos and got a lunch combo as well. Very good food. Homemade hot sauce was amazing. Couldn’t have been more pleased. Will definitely go back soon.

Today I went all out with the San Jose Steak which is a T-Bonk grilled to perfection. No sauce was needed nor asked. The Elote (corn) was a nice surprise with the rice being prepared with care. The salsa is the best in town and beats out the bigger chains in my opinion and tops another high end locally owned Mexican restaurant I have already reviewed.
The vegetables tasted fresh and were cooked to perfection. The chips with the salsa is a nice chip upgrade and provide a nice flavor and crunch. The sweet tea was of very high quality.
The atmosphere had a nice ambience and the music system is a nice touch.

Fantastic food. They were supposed to close at 8:30, but when I walked in at 8:21 they said we can absolutely serve you. Service with a smile. The Mas Tequila potato was huge and fantastic. My husband loved the jumbo burrito also. Would definitely come back! Nice large dining room, but nothing special atmosphere-wise. But really, who cares when the food is that good?!?

Betty took our order starting with a Texas margarita which my wife said was very good. I got a regular Margarita which was also okay. Then we got our order which was exceptional and we enjoyed it very much the food was hot and tasty. This was our first opportunity to go to a Mexican restaurant in the Chattanooga area and we’ll be back again before we leave town to enjoy this place.

My order was fine, but I called to order an hour in advance, I placed the order to pick up at 12:00, I arrived a little early so I waited, but my order was ready at 12:14, I think if you call to place an order in advance it’s because you just want to go pay and pick up your food since you won’t have time to wait long, especially at lunch time when you know the restaurant is busy, but waiting 15 extra minutes for an order I placed over an hour ago is not good at all. They need to improve on that. The tacos are a good price.

Back again for Shrimp Cocktail and wing Wednesday. Both are great and the Shrimp Cocktail makes the best Bloody Mary’s the next day. Trying to talk the owner into using his sauce in a Bloody Mary so I don’t have to wait until I get there.

(update below) We have visited twice now, and I had the Camerones Ala Diabla both times. The shrimp and salsa were delicious and very hot by most standards. Sides of rice, beans and guacamole salad were fresh and tasty, though I don’t think I got the salad the first time. My wife got the Shrimp Cocktail and Special Las Pilas, respectively, each visit, and she said both were great. We’ll certainly return to try some other dishes.
UPDATE: Five stars. Three months and many visits later, I’ve found everything offered is high-quality, fresh and plentiful. This trip I had the Chimichanga Loca and my wife had the Tacos Pollo Asado. The chimichanga was monstrous and filled with lots of big delicious shrimp and tender beef and chicken with gooey cheese and jalapeños. Her tacos were good and packed with grilled chicken in a good tortilla. The side of Pinto beans was really good, though my wife doesn’t like sausage. So I ate the beans for her and loved the chorizo (I think that’s what it was). We’ve now tried multiple items on the menu, and it all has been equally satisfying. One surprise is the value. Great prices for huge portions. You won’t go home hungry. And service is fast and friendly. Victor was excellent. There are other good Mexican places around, but they better watch out for this new kid in town.

We tried this resturant on our trip to chattanooga TN and it was definitely worth it. The service was really fast and the portions were HUGE my plate was filled to the edge! Something different but that I appreciated was that they gave each person their own small bowl of salsa. I ordered the Fajita burritos (2 burritos, side of rice and beans), my husband ordered the Pineapple Fajitas (served in half a pineapple) with homemade corn Tortillas. Everything was fresh and served hot. For dessert we ordered the Churros and ice cream to go, we ate them about a hour after and they were still Crispy!! The best churro i have had so far for sure! The only negative I would say is that the ground beef in the enchiladas my MIL ordered was very dry and had no flavor. Other than that I would absolutely recommend this spot to eat!
