Wow these are great weiners. Flavor is unique and delicious. I had two all the way with fries and coffee milk. Fries were hot and yummy. Coffee milk is great. My wife decided to try one weiner which is all she usually eats and ordered another. Service was fast and very friendly. Counter service and booths available. Hotdog and weiner fans should definitely have this location on their bucket list.

For readers who don’t know about New York System wieners, the five stars I’m giving here is not like the five stars I give world class restaurants. Olneyville New York System is a world unto itself. I lived in Rhode Island years ago, and I was thrilled to enjoy the wonderful seafood available here. But I couldn’t leave without tasting at least one Olneyville wiener. New York System wieners can only be found in Rhode Island, and Olneyville is the classic. These beef/pork/veal sausages are served on a steamed bun “all ways”, meaning with meat sauce, yellow mustard, chopped onions, and celery salt. This unusual combination of ingredients comes together to make a memorable flavor. The ambiance is exactly what I remembered from 35 years ago — a long counter, a few formica tables, and a stentorian counter man who suddenly declared to no one in particular, “We’ve I’ve been here 83 years. I’ve been here more than half that time. Isn’t that amazing?”

I’ve driven by the spot many times over the last few years, and because of the new culture, I tried my hardest not to go because I didn’t want to be a Glizzy monster. But this place has some really good hot dogs. All jokes aside, I had to grab four of them.

This spot definitely makes you feel like you’re in NY. Atmosphere, food smells and design authentic NY! The food was good! They are known for their hotdogs and boy did they deliver! My friend snagged a dog and ate it so fast I couldn’t snag a pic. My girls both got grilled cheese and said it was great! I got a Cheese steak only complaint was they didn’t spread the meat. Otherwise delicious place to stop!

Nice place. We wanted to try this NY system, that dude was so friendly man! He greeted us and reassured us he would get to our order as we settled in. Gave us suggestions. Made us try a fries with vinegar and salt! Was awesome! The fries here are really good i would come back just to see that nice fellow. Stellar service give him a raise ✅

I was in a rush and only 15 minutes to try the hot wiener “all the way”. I was able to get in and out in under 10 minutes! I’ve had the famous Icelandic hot dog, a dog with a squid ink bun, and many more – this wiener with mustard, meat sauce, onion, and celery salt beats them all! I am sad that I couldn’t also order a plain wiener, just to really sample it alone. The wiener snapped – almost popped with almost every bite. I loved it! Everyone should try it! At only $3.69 ($3.99 with tax) per wiener, it’s a must try! It exceeded my expectations.
