My mom and I were in this shopping center and happened to see this place walking back to the car. One patron inside there didn’t know much about the food as it was his first visit too. A second patron was undoubtedly sure and said, ‘The chicken is really good or I wouldn’t be waiting for it.’ So we decided to try it. The menu is full of delicious soul food items. The atmosphere is friendly and family friendly. The customer service was wonderful! The food turned out to be very good. I didn’t give it 5 stars ONLY because my personal preference is more seasoning. But the hot sauce worked. I enjoyed the food and the cornbread was AMAZING! The bread pudding looked great, but it appeared it may have raisins in it…ewwww. So I didn’t end up eating more than a quick taste. Suggestion: Get the fresh fish over the flounder fish…unless you get chicken. I would visit this restaurant again and recommend if you’re in the area looking for soul food. I’m going to take a nap now lolol

I’ve came to this particular Walt’s chicken regularly accompanied by several coworkers. Three of my coworkers bought the bread pudding, one of which was mine, and ALL three of them had green and purple spots on the inside of it which is clearly MOLD!
We came back to the store to show them the molded bread pudding. I’m assuming the woman who tried to justify why it was that color, was the one who “prepared it”, because she stated when she opened the bagel package, it already had “purple” spots on it.
I asked her if BREAD is supposed to be the color purple? (While I already knew OF COURSE NOT) & could she explain the light green spots as well. She just kept repeating “that’s the color of the bagel”, while NOT explaining the green spots I mentioned.
I told her if that was the colors of the bagel, then the bagel you used to prepare the bread pudding had MOLD ON IT! She was NOT apologetic at all but admitted to seeing the discolored bread before preparing it!!!!!!! (We received a refund) but was very disappointed by the explanation as if we were wrong!!
-Nevertheless they’ve lost a faithful customer! & be sure to CHECK YOUR DESERTS!!!!!!!!!!

It was ok the chicken didn’t have the regular “Walt’s “ flavor. It was bland I was at least expecting that flavor & it didn’t have to be salty. The waffle was sugar crunchy. I thought it was going to be a normal waffle. Every bite had big pieces of sugar in it. Although the flavor was good. Customer service was great

There was a big piece of metal in my mashed potatoes. I don’t know if it’s a sanitary or preparation issue, maybe both, but this is beyond unacceptable. Unfortunately, I was only able to find it after I felt it scrape the roof of my mouth. We all lost our appetite, and I will absolutely not be returning to nor recommending any Walt’s anywhere to anyone out of concern. I’m glad that I didn’t swallow it nor was it in a child’s food. Waste of time and money, but at least no one was hurt.

Live in the area and had never stopped by. Heading home early and decided to stop in and give them a try for lunch. I won’t say it’s the worst money I’ve spent, but I truly do wish I could have a do-over.
I ordered a small potato salad, (it was decent), but when I opened the bag and saw the size, I had to wonder if they thought they were feeding a child. (It was a Dixie cup sized portion….and that might be a bit generous.)
The Mac n’ Cheese was ok…it tasted as if it had been sitting for a while, (definitely not FRESH); the chicken was slight dry, seasonless and was not “FRIED” chicken, but moreso baked, (this could be what they serve on a regular, but I assumed that “CRISP” meant fried.) I never did try the greens, as I was disappointed in the other food items and just didn’t want to take a chance.
The one bright spot was the Sister who served me. She was very congenial and shared a bit of Walt’s History. As a newcomer to the area, it was good to know a little bit about the company I was patronizing. Unfortunately, her bright and cheerful attitude isn’t enough to make me want to come back/give Walt’s another chance.

I’m highly disappointed, it’s about 6:30 pm I ordered the breasts dinner meal that comes with a breast a leg annoying my wing chase spoiled my mac & cheese extremely dry didn’t have any cheese I never got my potato salad order. The place was not crowded at all not sure why my order was not executed more thoroughly.

We were in the area today because of my kids football game. This place was about 3 minutes from the field so we decided to give it a try and I wish we didn’t. Grease was old, fish wasn’t fresh, no seasoning whatsoever, the greens tasted like grease flavored water, the sweet potatoes looked great but tasted like they’ve been in fridge for a week!! The customer service was exceptional portion size was great but it ends there. $52 wasted !!! Even the kids didn’t eat their platters. I was so disappointed
