Finally got a chance to give this place a try in person and get their pizza fresh. From how good the leftovers have been, my expectations were pretty high.
They’d just gotten a bit of a rush when we got there so there was a bit of a wait to get our food. But when your order is prepared and cooked when you order it, using dough that was carefully prepared 48 hours earlier to give it a chance to proof properly, and fresh toppings chopped only hours earlier… It’s worth the wait.
If you don’t care about quality ingredients, freshly prepared, and not off a conveyor belt, there’s a place you can call or a box on the square that have other pizza options. Both viable, just different strokes for different folks.
I just personally recommend Mudd’s. I feel confident you won’t be disappointed (as long as you have the patience to wait for something that’s worth it if that’s what’s required).

I ordered the Supreme and Pepperoni pizzas — both were amazing! The pizzas aren’t the largest, so if you’re really hungry, you could easily finish one yourself. Great flavor, fresh ingredients, and perfectly cooked. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Easily the best pizza I have ever had. Everything is fresh, everything is homemade. The owner made it right in front of me. The staff is really cool. If you haven’t been here, you have to check it out.

First visit to this little place of great pizza located in the country. Very friendly atmosphere and friendly employees. I had a great time conversating with the owners that were very friendly. They have indoor and some outdoor seating with a fire pit outside as well. Don’t miss out on some really good fresh food. Lots of awesome ingredients salads sandwiches pizzas cheese breads all amazing.

Excellent pizza and sandwiches
Creative sauces that are unique and tasty. Cant wait to go back and try more of the menu but I got 2 pizzas, the Italian sandwich and Gigi’s salad and everything was top notch!!

I cannot say enough good things about our experience at Mudd’s today. We were greeted enthusiastically, waited on immediately and we chatted with everyone working there throughout our lunch. What was as impressive as their food was their camaraderie. If they aren’t family or life-long friends, you wouldn’t know it. We ordered the cheesy bread and it was a great introduction to what was to come. The dough is pillows, crunchy, with just the right amount of saltiness. The cheese was high quality, plentiful and perfectly cooked to ooey-gooey goodness. The side cup of sauce was the right size to dip and delicious. I had to ask and yes, it is made in-house. Next out, was their supreme pizza. Some supreme come with too much salty meat for me to enjoy but Mudd’s Supreme only has pepperoni and sausage which is what I like on a supreme. The interesting addition is pepperoncini. I almost told them to hold it and am so glad I didn’t. In over 50 years, I’ve never had pepperoncini on a pizza and I dont know that I’ll ever have it again without them. The sweet and sour really brought it all together nicely. While we were there, they created a new cheesy bread with feta and spinach and offered us some. Delicious and is being added to the menu. For drinks, they have a few kinds of pop, including diet, and they also have filtered water. They are not currently serving any type of dessert but may again in the future. There are a few salads on the menu and they make their dressings in house. I just wasnt in the mood for salad. They have eclectic decor in the main room and in the restrooms, the music was good, and they do have a little outdoor area that I’m guessing they may make into seating at some point? They’ve done a great job developing their recipes and excel at taking care of customers and making them feel welcome. My biggest complaint…they need a bigger sign as we couldn’t see the design on the door til we were in the parking lot…just go where your GPS tells you and it’s to the left of the market.
