10/10, excellent food and service! Adam was fantastic, very attentive and offered informed suggestions when asked, and even provided my husband small containers of sauces just out of hospitality.
The sandwiches were DELICIOUS. The bread is soft and fluffy, they brine the chicken so it retains its juiciness, and bacon is on point. The only downside is because of the fluffiness of the bread, the pesto sauce quickly soaks into it. My husband loved the salsa and the bbq sauce, and we both walked away mourning the fact we don’t have a Sandwich Spot in our hometown. But we certainly know where to go when we’re in Reno!!

I wanted a hearty sandwich for dinner after shopping at Target in Reno and in the same strip mall there was “The Sandwich Spot” so I had to try out my favorite sandwich and see how they add up to my favorite sandwich shop.
I ordered their roast beef sandwich unfortunately the only thing I liked was the crazy sauce they put in it however it was such a tiny swipe of it that it didn’t go from end to end on the bread so it was dry and flavorless and not hearty by any means. The sandwich is well under one foot long it definitely needed way more beef WAY MORE and other ingredients as well to even call it a sandwich or a meal and make it feel like you got something for your hard earned money.
I don’t recommend this place for people looking for a hearty sandwich or meal at a fair price. They need to make some big adjustments to the amount of beef and ingredients used for the prices they charge including getting healthier meats vegetables and breads. The sourdough was too soggy and under cooked (they take from frozen and bake it when you order it) for a French Dip. The beef broth didn’t taste like beef broth at all and the beef wasn’t fresh sliced roast beef it was your typical frozen beef heated up….looked and tasted like rubber AKA lab grown meat.

We had our chicken sandwiches made hot and spicy. The crew didn’t disappoint us. Could be their secret sauce but we all had amazing time eating it. These sandwiches were different to what I would eat normally in other shop. The bread was warm and crispy as I would have wanted it. Definitely recommend and I will be back soon.

Walked in and was greeted right away. Placed our order and only took a few minutes to get our food. I had The 775 and my husband had the Hulkmania. Both were delicious!! Asked the guy if he was the owner, he was. Then he asked if we like spice and gave us some of their spicy sauce. So good!! Great customer service and great sandwiches!! Highly recommend.

I’ve been a longtime fan of this sandwich shop, so my recent visit was disappointing. The food quality wasn’t what it used to be, and the atmosphere was made worse by the manager openly criticizing employees in front of customers. That kind of behavior is unprofessional and uncomfortable, and it reflects poorly on the business. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and works to restore both the food quality, food production time and the overall professionalism that once made this place great.

The sandwich was really good!! I didn’t like how non-ripe the avocado was on my Tahoe. It was so non-ripe the avocado was crunchy. I picked off the avocado but it was really yummy after I did. The guys working the counter were pretty nice too!

OMG pictures don’t do these sandwiches justice! My friend and I came here for lunch and both of our sandwiches were huge. And yes we did our Yelp research before we came here and the images are a lie. If you zoom into the image then it’s a little more accurate.
The Odin son sandwich is huge and delicious. I had mine with the Dutch crunch bread which taste a little like buttery garlic knots bread. The bread doesn’t have any garlic but the taste reminded me of garlic knots. The one bad thing about the bread is that it’s like eating captain crunch without liquid, it will hurt the roof of your mouth if your not careful, but it’s well worth the pain.
The buttery bread from the Dutch crunch mixes well with The Odin son and it’s robust flavors of Hot Pastrami, Roast Beef, Salami & Swiss Cheese. I had their secrete sauce along with all their toppings and it just made this sandwich. This is one of the best sandwiches I have ever had. But what made it even better was the amazingly friendly service from the staff and manager.
Even tho COVID has made going out to eat slightly awkward, the staff made it a pleasure. The guy that greeted us was super friendly and helped me and my friend figure out what type of sandwich we needed to try. After we picked our meals, what I think was the owner (a big bearded muscular guy) had a friendly conversation with us while we waited. We appreciated the conversation and felt very welcomed. The guy that took our order offered us to try one of their sauces with our sandwiches, I had the Teriyaki BBQ sauce on the side and man was it amazing! My friend had the Jalapeno ranch sauce, he said he never tasted that before.
This is truly the sandwich spot and it has some seriously different sandwiches. It’s a must stop if you are passing threw or you just need a serious sandwich that is going to fill you up. The only thing I didn’t like was the chocolate chip cookies, they were way too dry and hard. But I didn’t come here for the cookies. You won’t just get a seriously good sandwich, you’ll also walk away with a smile from the amazingly friendly staff.

The Sandwich Spot is my favorite sandwich place from my prior place of residence. This location carries on the same tradition of great food and service. I really didn’t care for the Unitarian interior. Still it’s a sandwich shop so who cares

Menu has changed. The Sandwich Spot has decided to add more “hot” sandwiches. That means microwaved. Very few cold sandwiches left on the menu. Very sad. I asked for a chicken salad sandwich on wheat. I got a sliced chicken with a mustard/mayo mix slathered on top. Sad attempt. Wish they just would say that they don’t have any instead of trying to b.s.

Review: Gave this sandwich spot a try & it was pretty good. I’m a big fan of small & local businesses. Unbeknownst to me I accidentally came in just before they closed but I would never have known that given the great customer service experience I received. Staff were friendly & polite. Sandwiches were good & the store was extremely clean – like immaculate. I enjoyed this & would definitely come back, especially seeing how it is so close to Target. I got a sandwich in store & one to go. They also have paper straw options which is very nice & I am very, very glad to see! I used one of these straws & it was just fine, held up even better than a typical plastic straw so good on these guys.
The only area for improvement I saw was some of the decor. Nothing terrible, it was just a little flat. Something I never thought I would see is an autographed picture of Mike O’Hearn LOL. Don’t give me wrong, it’s cool & I’m a fan of his, I just never would’ve expected to see it in a sandwich shop.
