I really enjoyed my time at Umami Seasons Hotpot. The place feels cozy and welcoming and the food was honestly so good. The broth had a lot of flavor and everything tasted fresh. There were plenty of options to choose from and it made the whole hotpot experience really enjoyable. The staff were kind and attentive which made us feel comfortable the entire time. I would definitely come back and recommend it to everyone

I met up with five others for a birthday dinner here last night, and I am so happy that this was the birthday girl’s choice! They were able to accommodate one of our friends who uses a wheelchair, which made me happy. It was open, clean, and bright. The music was a fun selection, though it was so loud that I had to ask them to turn it down so we could hear each other and they immediately obliged. I felt a little awkward asking (I just wanted to be able to hear all my friends!), but I was glad they didn’t make it weird.

I got a matcha milk tea which was pretty good.

The waiter did a fairly good job explaining things, and the menu was insanely extensive. There is just SO much variety. After having watched Bon Appetit, Your Majesty, I wanted to try lotus root and it was SO good. I also ordered carrots and ramen.

Some friends ordered shrimp and scallops, and the others ordered fried tofu and spicy things that I mostly ignored. My side ordered the chicken broth and the nutritious broth. The chicken broth was okay, a bit lackluster, but OMG. That nurtritious broth has me obsessed. HOW can I make that for myself?! I don’t like mushroom texture, but they apparently gave this broth a delightful flavor along with the ginger. I thought about it all night after, but luckily, we were able to take our leftovers home and was able to eat it again! SO good.

We got a volcano of beef to share, which I found charming, and it was fun to cook the food at our table.

Everyone left feeling full and happy. I thought it was a bit pricy, but if it had been just myself and my partner, I think it would’ve been plenty more reasonable (we just split the bill evenly, which I was fine with).

This was lots of fun and that broth is enough to make me want to go back again soon. It’s been a while since I ate somewhere and daydreamed about the food long after– well done, Umami Seasons!

Had a lovely date night here. First time doing a hot pot and the experience was something I’drecommend anyone to try. Our server was Jim and he was very welcoming and definitely knew his stuff. He walked us through the process and made us masters of Hot Pot. A little pricey but a fantastic activity with a partner or friend.

We had a wonderful dinner tonight at a beautiful little restaurant on the Loop tonight.

The restaurant was clean and very cutely decorated in a modern style.

We ordered A LOT of food for 2 people! Our base order was the course for 2. The duel pot gave us a variety of flavors between the Imperial golden chicken and kimchi broth. We ordered the pork belly, eye of round and added the seafood combo and also added the Fish cake. The mushroom basket was beautifully presented.

We topped it off with some Sparkling Soju which was better than a dessert because they were so sweet and flavorful!

I really wanted to like this place, as the atmosphere is great and it feels very authentic, but it just wasn’t good hotpot. We did the 2 person dinner combo. Thr tomato broth lacked flavor, although the numbing one was very good. The meat which was scraps of meat they couldnt shape well didnt hold much flavor either. We are big backs so had to order another meat, the foot long tray, which was tastier at least.
We also ordered a diet coke at the beginning of our meal, and didnt get it until the very end, which was around an hour because service was incrediblely slow. Had to ask multiple times for water refills, and remind for napkins and utensils. They were super busy, but waiting 10 minutes for utensils so we could eat felt like forever.

Very cute spot for my birthday brunch. Soft atmosphere with gentle yet commonly heard pop songs. The space is clean and well managed. The service was okay. There was only one staff member working which I feel is reasonable considering it wasn’t extremely busy. The food was tasty. I do wish the menu and experience was better explained to my group. Overall, cute little spot in a wonderful area.

We came for the all you can eat hot pot, which is very misleading. Its $20 per person to pick one type of meat then you have to pay a la carte for noodles and vegetables. The server, who was very confusing in explaining the menu and answering questions, lead off with telling us its a better deal to share a la carte. He said the best deal was for the meat lover platter that comes with one pound of an undisclosed type of meat. I pointed to the back page and asked why the pound of labeled meat was cheaper and he told me it that platter is strictly to go even though it doesnt say that anywhere and told me they didnt have room to add that key piece of information in English to the menu. So twice we fell for false advertising in this empty for a reason restaurant. He told us the veggie platter would feed all 4 of us, but when it came out the container had a false bottom so it looked like there was way more food than there actually was. And the pound of meat was gone even faster than the veggies. So basically we paid $5 less for hardly any food than we would have at k-pot where its actually all you can eat hot pot with a wide variety of food and even appetizers. Needless to say ill never be back, if you want good hot pot go to one of the two k-pot locations, way better and appropriately priced! Oh and my cup of water was dirty so theres that. Poor service and food.

Thinking of trying something new? Then check this restaurant out. We walked in without reservations and were able to get a table. On the menu, you pick out your broth (2), noodle, protein and vegetables. It is then brought to your table and you cook it as you go. The food was delicious. The staff was very helpful as we had never gone to this style restaurant before. I loved the vegetable selection…it’s huge! There’s a little bit of something for everyone on the menu. Check them out and support local.

Four of us really enjoyed our hotpot dinner here. It is our granddaughter’s favorite restaurants. We had never been to a hotpot restaurant before. It was interesting and fun. We chose the spicy beef broth and the chicken broth for our hotpot dinner. Then we chose the chicken and lamb meat options. Everything was very good! When we were done, our granddaughter got the leftover broths to go. She then makes her own hotpot at home with them.
