Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

Stopped by for a quick lunch. Just one other customer already eating.
Ordered #13 tender meal. The tenders and toast were cold and dry like they had been sitting awhile. Frys were fresh.
Location was clean. It is a bit cold as well but not uncomfortable.

I wasn’t really impressed with Whataburger. I had high expectations as I had heard so many great things about it. The food was just okay. The burger was nothing special and bun was slightly burnt. Fries weren’t the best either. The malt was interesting but didn’t really remind me of a classic malt. The flavor was hard to pinpoint. While this would have been better if I ate at the restaurant, the overall quality and taste just wasn’t there.

The place is 1 level above “not bad” thats about it The service is the same. A little weird, they bring a tray of condiments to the table for about 20 seconds and then take it all back including the napkins. I like onion rings but not these, dark cooked in old oil. First and last time here.

I recently ordered a Whataburger Jr Combo and a Dr Pepper Milkshake, and the staff was exceptionally friendly. I highly recommend the milkshake. While the fries were not as hot and fresh as I prefer, a significant advantage is their 24/7 availability. Overall, it was a positive experience.

After being disappointed in Tucson, I hoped the Phoenix location would be better. It wasn’t.
The dining area didn’t feel clean, and the restrooms were in rough shape. When basic upkeep is lacking, it doesn’t give you much confidence in the kitchen.
The burger was greasy and barely held together. It started falling apart before I could even bite into it. The fries were nothing special, and once again, my order was incorrect. It seems like every visit involves checking the bag and going back to the counter.
Compared to that, In-N-Out is simply better — better food quality, better consistency, and cleaner locations. I also appreciate that they openly incorporate Christian values into their brand, which adds to the sense that the company is intentional about how it operates. Between the food and the overall experience, Whataburger just doesn’t measure up.

9/25/23 0800hrs $8.46. Breakfast burger meal small drink & fries. 4 Hash Browns, burger has Ham, Egg, Hash Brown, and Meat patty. It was delicious! I wish the had browns were fresh and hot. U can’t go wrong with spicy ketchup! Fast & Friendly service. Cashier has a welcoming greetings & smile!

Had the patty melt on a texas toast, and the hamburger patties were so dry and unseasoned. Isn’t the texas toast supposed to taste like butter, not Whataburgers… It tasted like they dipped it in leftover hamburger grease. Their fries tasted like the typical generic frozen kind. When I first walked in to pick up my order, the staff continued to do their tasks and did not greet us. After standing around for a few minutes, I finally excused myself for some assistance. The only thing that was appealing was the clean dining area, but there were only 2 other people there. Sorry, Whataburgers, after hearing all the hype on social media, you ended up disappointing us. Now it’s time to go back to In and Out!

Always good service but we got food poisoning.. that’s a awesome way to start off our new years hoping someone see this who can make sure there’s no cross contamination going on love what a burger but definitely won’t be eating there for awhile also I’m confused on how they measure there fry’s because I’m sure I ordered a large not a small

I was staying at a nearby hotel, work related business. I made the horrible mistake of eating here. I ordered a cheeseburger with fries… it tasted as horrible as it looked. I’ve ate at other locations with no problem. I’ll never eat at this location again. I’ve posted a photo of my “cheeseburger ” large fries.

First time I’ve been here and it was very good. No disappointment here. I totally recommend it for people to try. I wish they would expand to other states. I would love to go and eat there again sometime.
