Love Carbo’s & the owners Carol & Bo . Yes it’s a cash-only private-club bar so a very small membership fee as required by NC…& well worth it!!
I lived close by & frequented back in the 90s thru 2006 when I moved back to Ohio…I’ve also visited every time I was area (x8) & I love how it has remained the same friendly bar that welcomes all that enters! Many holidays I spent there & the owners would cook up a feast for those that didn’t have family close by.
I’m looking forward to going again soon!! Miss y’all

Just a group of veterans looking for an easy night out. We were hoping to grab a couple of drinks and relax, but the experience was disappointing from the start. We were told we had to pay a membership fee, which wasn’t mentioned anywhere online, and then found out it was cash-only after the fact. The staff wasn’t friendly or welcoming, so we decided to leave — and we won’t be back. Not a tourist-friendly spot at all, and overall, it felt like a very insular establishment.

Rude as hell; had paid a membership fee not even a year ago, came in and was told that my membership had expired without even asking who I was. Was going to pay it and start a tab and was told that they are now a cash only bar. Basically wad looked at up and down and told we don’t serve your kind here. Will NEVER return except to drop off my “membership” card. Would give a 0 stars if the option was available.

Great, relaxed spot to grab a drink or two! Sharron is the absolute BEST bartender you will ever find!!! She is so personable and knows how to take care of her guests!!! There aren’t too many late night spots open in the Little River/Calabash area, so Carbos is the place to go!!!

Best dive bar in Brunswick county. Cheap prices cold beer when you want have a cold one while waiting for your order from bella’s or waiting for the family to finish miniature golf this is the place. Bad news you have to pay a $1 membership fee.
