We found this restaurant the day before leaving Calgary and really enjoyed our meal! The chicken poke was sooo delicious, and all the other dishes were great too. There were just two of us, and we definitely ordered way too much — but we still finished everything! We arrived about an hour before closing, and people kept coming in. I hope more and more people discover this place and enjoy the food as much as we did!

What an amazing discovery during our brief stay in Calgary! We randomly stopped at Maru Sushi and Don and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip.
From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome. They were friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful. But the real star of the show was the sushi, absolutely delicious and the freshest we’ve ever had! You can truly taste the quality and care that goes into every dish.

It was very tasty. The waiter was polite. The Philadelphia sushi and udon soup were excellent quality. We spent $60 on dinner for two. At the end, they gave us little chocolates)

UNREAL FOOD!! The Tataki Roll and the Shrimp Tempura Udon were the the highlights. Service was incredible, they were so warm and welcoming. 100% will be back again!!

I visited this restaurant for dinner because the reviews seemed good. It’s a small, cozy place with a nice atmosphere and friendly staff. However, there’s only one server, so you have to wait to take your order or pay. I ordered salmon, tuna, surf clams, and eel nigiri, along with agedashi-tofu and miso soup.
To be honest, the sushi rice was dry and not very tasty. The fatty tuna was hard to chew, and the texture of the salmon wasn’t great either. Next time, I’ll try something other than sushi.

We enjoyed a wonderful birthday lunch and were thoroughly impressed with our experience. Each dish featured incredibly fresh ingredients, expertly prepared to create a perfect balance of flavors and textures resulting in culinary magic.
The service was exceptional, enhancing the entire meal and making the celebration even more special. We highly recommend the Beef Teriyaki Bowl, Chicken Teriyaki Rolls, and the Masumi Sake. We can’t wait to return!

Cute little Japanese restaurant on 8 Ave SW. Sashimi bowl was a decent size for the price, and ver tasty. Sashimi pieces were very fresh, as were the rest of the ingredients. Server was very attentive and food came out quickly. Will try to come back again for the udon.
