Good food and service. Self serve drinks. They deliver food to your table. Chips, tortillas are very delicious. Loved the beans. Rice was a bit bland, but good enough for the kids. Lots of parking, but can become very busy at times. They also sale chips and salsa by the pound. Chips are not greasy and taste light and crunchy. I would recommend if your near. Asada had a flavor i was not used to but good.

They are the only restaurant that has Azusa grown Avocados They also have the best chips made on the premise as well as their tortillas freshly made in their tortilla factory ! We pass this place all the time and finally decided to stop in. It’s a very solid spot that delivers exactly what you want from standard Mexican-American cuisine. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the space itself is open and clean. It’s a great choice for a large group or just a casual meetup. Definitely worth a visit!

The root beer was the best part of our meal. We had taquitos, chile verde, enchiladas and shredded beef tacos with rice and beans. Everything was bland. Salsa has no kick. It’s can tomato based. The enchilada sauce is definitely not made Mexican style. The shredded beef is dry and flavorless. We will definitely not be back.

I’ve been coming to La Toteca for over 20 years, and this place never fails! The food is always amazing — I highly recommend the flautas. Today was my first time trying the shrimp ceviche tostada, and it’s my new favorite! We also had a frozen strawberry margarita and a michelada — both drinks were fantastic. If you’re craving great Mexican food, this is the spot!

Cool place to gather with family. The restaurant is big and was able to accommodate our large party of 20 people. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately my food was underwhelming. The chicken was bland and needed more salt, seasoning, and spices. I ordered the chicken tacos with rice and beans and all where lacking in flavor. One upside is that my wife’s carnitas were good. Also the pricing is very good as the bill for my household (2 adults and 3 kids) was less than 60 dollars.

We made it a point to visit La Tolteca. We had not been there for 30 years! We still loved it! So happy they have grown into such a big venue. Spoke with Ben, an original family owner. Told him we were so happy to see the growth.

This place really surprised me. It didn’t have the highest ratings, so I went in with low expectations. I ordered the taquito plate with guacamole for $5 and the enchilada combination with rice and beans, plus a large drink. The total came to about $20, which I thought was very reasonable.
When the food was brought to my table, the portions were huge, so I assumed it might be mass-produced and not very good. But once I took the first bite, I was blown away. The flavor was exceptional and instantly took me back to my childhood, when my mom used to cook dinner for us. It had that homemade taste with just a hint of food cooked in manteca (lard), which added to the nostalgia.
I really enjoyed everything, but I won’t give it five stars because you have to order at the counter, like at McDonald’s, even though it’s a sit down restaurant. Also, the tortilla chips were pre-made from a bag.
Still, the service was amazing and the staff, and even the other diners were very friendly. I highly recommend this place!
