A very pleasant surprise! All the dishes were flavorful with just the right amount of spice. Not overpower with hot chili. The biggest surprise was the mutton bryani. The fried potatoes in the bryani were buttery soft and full of flavor. The mutton was also tender and there was more than enough amount for 4 adults. The only issue I had was that the bahari beef was chewy and not melt in your mouth as I was expecting. I did mention that to the staff. I will order it next time and see if they made the adjustments. Chai and rusmali were an excellent ending to a delicious meal. Will definitely go back. I ordered the dhai varda chat to go, have not tried it yet.

Chicken Biryani was okay : nit to craved due to Aloo in it; had chicken Biryani previously in different pakistani restaurants but Aloo was not at all expected, it is good but not to craved for; but the ambience is very good and super good for the family. Do not try chai because its straight up expensive

Nihari was alright, Ali Nihari and Bundoo Khan Nihari are still better for Nihari. Their Bihari kebab masala was awesome, and so was their butter naan. The fried fish was great too. I wouldn’t recommend the platter, but the kids still loved it. Falooda was a letdown. It’s not a fancy restaurant, but it could definitely use new tables and chairs. Food was served in disposable plates from Sam’s club. The owner stopped by our table and mentioned he owned Pak Sweets on Devon until last year. The staff were hardworking and humble.

We had such an amazing experience at Karachi Chatkhara! We ordered chicken biryani, mutton karahi, Karachi bun kebab, beef samosas, and aloo samosas — everything was packed with flavor and so delicious. But our absolute favorite was the tandoori chicken — it was perfectly cooked and bursting with spices.

On top of the incredible food, the service was outstanding. Sanju was the nicest host and truly made our experience even better with his hospitality.

Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for authentic, flavorful food and warm service!

⭐ Karachi Chatkhara – A Hidden Gem in the Northwest Suburbs! ⭐
Karachi Chatkhara is hands down one of the most delicious restaurants in the northwest suburbs! We had the authentic Dal Kachori and mouthwatering Fish Tikka — both absolutely perfect. The owner was very polite and friendly, taking the time to recommend their best dishes — Mutton Karahi and Chicken Bihari Boti — which did not disappoint.

To finish, we enjoyed their signature Doodh Ki Dulhari dessert along with a comforting cup of Masala Chai.

If you’re craving truly delicious, authentic food with warm hospitality — this place is a must-try!

We did not had very pleasant experience here. Visited here for Dinner. Alo paratha and chicken tikka was good.
-All the cheese was out of the cheese sticks, upon complaining the owner just nod his head and went away, no response what so ever.
– The baryani was total disappointment. It was cold, dry and hard. Definitely looked old, we saw pieces of chicken in there which belong to baryani but looks like they ran out of it so they added red color chicken tikka pieces in there, you can definitely tell that those doesn’t belong to the baryani we were served.
-The entire restaurant hall was empty but they gave us table in the smaller room where a party of around 20 people were sitting already and were very loud gossiping (they were done with food).
We were very uncomfortable, sounded like we were in somebody’s valima and heard all the below the belt gossips which I had no intent to hear. Mind you they were all above 60s and the things they were talking about were so uncomfortable.!
-The owner then tries to rush the party to get out the room so they can clean but these people didn’t listen and we had to pack up n leave.
My question is, you close 10p, we arive 9- beside the entire restaurant being empty why we were given the table next to a huge party? Just so you don’t have to clean the other hall. Both were your customers, why you couldn’t give us a comfortable space for better experience.
Not returning back ever!

One of the best biryanis I’ve had in a long time. From the very first bite, it brought back memories of back home, the aroma, the spices, and the depth of flavor were absolutely on point. This is not your average, watered-down biryani; it’s rich, authentic, and cooked the way it’s meant to be.

The atmosphere deserves a special mention as well, warm, welcoming, and comfortable. It feels like a place where you can actually relax and enjoy your meal instead of rushing through it. On top of that, the host and service were excellent. Friendly, attentive, and genuinely hospitable, which makes the whole experience even better.

I also tried the Karhiawari cholay, and they were hands down some of the best I’ve had perfectly spiced, hearty, and full of traditional flavor. It paired beautifully with the rest of the meal.

Overall, this place delivers on food, service, and vibe. I’ll definitely be coming back, and I highly recommend others give it a try if you’re looking for authentic taste and a great dining experience.

Everything is so good. Taste like Burns road Karachi. Fish, pyaee, biryani, daal puri, halwa puri, chaat, and lastly karak Chai was like cherry on top.
My kids really love the zinger burger and the chocolate milkshake here. Will be a regular customer….

Amazing food, truly authentic exceptional Pakistani food that definitely reminds me of Karachi. We’ve tried brunch and dinner, our favorite dishes have been the chana daal, tandoori chicken, and chicken karahi (tandoori roti is the way to go with these) for dinner. For breakfast their aloo parathas are the best I’ve had anywhere in Chicagoland, and amazing malpura as well!
