Food is great… tastes like home. Staff are nice and friendly. My beautiful bride of 49 years and I drove an hour out of way just for lunch on the way to our daughter’s home…it is that good.

I bought me a BLT & a Club sandwich and salad and fried eggplant , And it was so good but besides, I’m not a picky eater either…..I’ve only been there twice and the customer service was great, no complaints , whatsoever ! Giant trays as your plate!?? This place is awesome! Food was good, just enough variety at the buffet. Most people wanted seafood & that’s what was steadily available. I love the “kid buffet prices” and the fact that you can order off the menu if you don’t/can’t do buffet. Definitely a 5 star place for a family dinner! Thanks Murphy’s!

If you haven’t had the pleasure of this establishment yet, you don’t know what you are missing. It has an awesome salad bar and a buffet, all homemade food. If you prefer, you can order off the menu, the hamburger steak is off the chain. These people make you feel like they’ve known you forever and the service is great. To say that this is a favorite of the locals is an understatement. Need I say more….this business clearly takes pride in their food.

Amazing lunch. Great home cooking buffet style! Always fresh salad an fruit. The fried catfish an chicken was cooked just right. The many sides like mashed potatoes and gravy, red beans, cabbage and yams were all great. An even had some Oreo dessert that put me over the full line.
The prices were great you can’t even eat Wendy’s for the cost.

Murphy’s is an old town, family restaurant where we’ve seen a lot of regulars come to enjoy good food and catching up with one another.
To me, the home style cookin is like going to grandma’s house. There is a fabulous salad bar, with all my many favorites, to make a heaping salad! Then another bar of foods you probably had at grandma’s house on Sunday’s.
The owners and staff are welcoming and great. The owners and sometimes their two girls are there working their restaurant, cooking and at your service. I wish I had pictures to share but I’m too quick to dig into it all, lol. We are so glad we happened upon this place and we continue to go each week. Although a lil drive for most, I believe it’ll be worth your ride. So come on out…we just might see you there.

I haven’t eaten seafood here but I have had the lunch buffet. The fried chicken is the best I’ve ever had and I love fried chicken. Salad bar is fresh. They do run out of fried chicken rather quickly. Good family restaurant and friendly folks.

Daily daytime buffet is average, nothing spectacular. Worth the price.

I stopped in at Murphy’s on the way through Amite today. I used to play music at this place back in 2014 on Monday nights. The owner’s wife recognized me. That was nice. The food was great and the service was superb. I highly recommend patronizing these folks. Good people with good values, fair prices and great food.
