We were here for our daughter’s birthday. It has been years since our last visit, we were greeted with a warm birthday welcome. The restaurant is well decorated with a blend of modern and classic elegance. We ordered the 4 course meal and a nice glass of red wine. The canapes and deserts were tasty and surprising (deconstructed apple pie). Souffle was ok, not sure what the hype was about. The birthday chocolate writing was a great touch, so was the complimentary bubbly. The mains including beef cheek, fish and the tenderloin were well cooked but all overly salted. So salty we ended up drinking a lot of water. Our water glasses were never empty, service was top notch. We were offered a tour and pictures of the wine cellar which was a bonus. Overall, highly recommended, hopefully the saltiness of the food is a one off thing. There are lots of of potentials for this restaurant to go beyond on star!

Perfect atmosphere and service for fine dining. The food is cooked to perfection but some plates lack a little seasoning and some over salted. The plating was in general a little boring. So overall food is above average but not impressive. We had the set menu. Both of us loved the main dishes low temperature cooked king salmon and roasted beef. The beef was tender and juicy. the fish was very moisturizing and melting in the mouth but could use a little soy sauce or wasabi. We were told the carrots cake is a must have and we were really happy with the non-traditional cake. We highly recommend it.

Came here for Thanksgiving dinner so my experience was a bit different but so amazing! Service was a bit slow and less attentive than the average Michelin experience but I’ll give a pass since it’s a holiday the host was even kind enough to let us check out the multi-layered wine cellar.

It was a 5 course and it was executed perfectly. Every dish was so delicious I wanted to lick the plate….and in many fine dining establishments I can’t quite say that. I can’t wait to come back to try the full tasting menu.

Shoutout to the sommelier too – they have an INSANE wine list – it’s legendary. So many vintage worldly wines at nearly any price point and region.

Highly recommend for a guaranteed delicious dining experience in a modern / contemporary setting. The experience is more classic French fine dining without the frills of eccentric dish ware and garnishes that many Michelin star restaurants offer.

I had the course meal at Plumed Horse and everything was really good.

My favorites were the Black Pepper and Parmesan Soufflé and the Mt. Lassen Trout. The Bjorn’s Apple dessert was also great.

The atmosphere was calm and nice for a date or special dinner, and their wine recommendations were on point. Parking was a little hard because the public lot was full, but they do have valet service.

Immaculate experience. Heck, they even have a bidet. They are far better than most other restaurants that attempt these price points. I guess that’s why they got the Michelin star. This place has all of the service you would expect of a restaurant of this quality. All of our dishes came on time. Our water glasses were kept full and correctly filled with sparkling/filtered for most of the whole night. The staff was attentive. We all ended our meal service full.

We came here to celebrate my proposal to my fiance. Since we were a large party considering the prie-fixe menu, they offered us a five-course meal instead to lighten the burden on their kitchen and our decision making. In turn, we got an extra main course for the price of the four-course. The only thing I wished was that we were offered the opportunity to pick the 5 courses as some in my party had dietary preferences to not include seafood.

Of the dishes, the favorite among the meat eaters was the rib-eye. Incredibly tender, cooked to perfection, and with complementary flavors from the squash.

Of those who are bread eaters, they absolutely loved the muffin-shaped bread and it’s accompanied butter. Both were incredibly light, fluffy, and yet substantial.

Of the canapes, the table ranked either the Fiscalini Tart or the Ahi Tartare & Cucumber as their number 1 & 2 favorite. The Smoked Salmon éclair and Beef Tartare “briquette” were both forgettable though we didn’t have a bunch of people who were seafood enjoyers at the table.

For the Black Pepper & Parmesan Souffle, we all enjoyed our servers telling us never to touch the teacup as it would burn our fingers. This was the majority of the tables third favorite dish.

The Black Cod was forgettable. The favorites and seasoning were fairly one-note. Worst dish.

For the desserts, they ranged from Asian low sweet to medium-high sweet, with nothing blatantly sweet to the point of decadence. The dark chocolate souffle was the favorite, though, do note, it is the least sweet. The carrot cake is the least favorite. Bjorn’s apple is good but not as caramel-like as I had expected the Crème Caramel was forgettable.

When we asked for our check, the staff brought along final treats for us to partake. Both were enjoyable. But this segways into my next point. They were really slow on getting us our check. To the point that I had believed they just forgot about us. And picking it up doubly so. This would not be an issue but my party was still conversing and drinking water this whole time and we needed refills. During the whole dining experience, until just before the very end, we had constantly had our waters monitored and our glasses filled. But we had to go out of our way to ask to pay our bill because at some people they started really slowing down on providing water and attending our table.

Enjoyed a delightful experience at the Plumed Horse. after trying the dishes, we have a feeling they specialize in seafood/fish. Our server Emilio was very pleasant and professional.

We had the 4 course meal that was ~$124 per person. The appetizer was delightful containing nuts and seafood. They served us house bread and butter that was quite hot. The food was enjoyable and everything was delicious. They even gave an extra apple jelly and cream puff at the end.

I find it odd patrons are being charged $9 for water, and I don’t remember any mention of this on the menus. The 22/23 service charge seems kind of hefty, though this is mentioned on the menu.

Parking in the area is probably harder in the daytime, we went at 7pm and found a spot nearby on the street. There’s also valet parking if you desire to use that.

The food was fine. Nothing was amazing, but we ate almost everything. The service was poor initially, but then improved. We discussed leaving after waiting a long time for someone to come take drink orders. Bad 80’s music. Good wine selection, and really enjoyed the cab I ordered, but was served flat champagne which thankfully they corrected. I plan to return and I’ll give it 4 until I do.

Souffle with the uni was the highlight of the night! Piping hot and couldn’t stop! The staff was so warm and welcoming. There was a non-alcoholic cocktail menu too! Thank you for such a wonderful birthday celebration! It was really cool to tour the wine cellar too and see a whole floor down. Lights constantly changing in the dining room was a bit distracting though.

Been here a couple of time but my most recent was celebrating my birthday at The Plumed Horse, and it was truly an unforgettable experience.
The ambiance of the restaurant is both elegant and refined making it the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion. The lighting and decor are sophisticated and warm. Service was exceptional.

The food is nothing short of extraordinary. Every course was a masterpiece – beautifully presented, bursting with flavor, and perfectly paired with wines recommended by the knowledgeable sommelier. The tasting menu was an absolute highlight, offering a delightful variety of innovative dishes that left us both amazed and satisfied. Each bite felt like a new culinary adventure, and the attention to detail was impeccable

We went here to celebrate and it was an exquisite experience from beginning to end. I highly recommend coming here if you’ve got something special to celebrate and enjoy.

The four course meal left me very full and very satisfied. The granny smith dessert was divine and I would order it again in a heartbeat.

I found the pork more enjoyable than the ribeye, but that could just be me. The way the beans blended with the savory meat was awesome.

The house version of an old fashioned was very drinkable and I probably shouldn’t have ordered so many.
