I really wanted to like this restaurant. It was my son’s birthday and it’s a tradition to eat Mexican food on his bday. I read the reviews of previous people and thought I’d give it a shot, they were mediocre. Dang I should have listened. The waiter is very nice but extremely forgetful. He forgot my daughters drink, ketchup, enough silverware and so on. The food tastes good unless it’s the chili relleno. It is coated in an egg cheese batter and intolerable to eat. Also, the margaritas..just stay away from. I ordered a Coronarita and it was watered down margarita with a small Corona. It was extremely dead around 5 PM. Look….just keep moving on. Dont do it.

This place was about a 15 minute walk from the Glenwood Springs hotel and springs. Nice and easy to find using gps.
We were promptly greeted and told to choose a seat. He took our drink orders immediately. Spoke Spanish to my wife who is Native and I answered back, he looked surprised. Lol.
We got our drinks, chips, salsa and some type of shredded lettuce, tomatoes and onion with a nice dressing. I liked it, different. Wife and I both ordered 2 combination dinner; she had the Chili rellenos and shredded beef enchilada. Chili Relleno was okay, battered in sopapilla breading (didn’t like). The shredded beef was tasty and came in big chunks. Rice was tender and the whole beans was good but over-peppered. Crispy beef taco was okay; homemade shell was crisp, the meat seasoned but was different from a lot of others. Overall 2.5.

Authentic Mexican food. The best place in town. The portion are generous and the price is right. They provide you with home made salsa and home made tortilla chips. Parking on Grand could be hard to find a open parking spot, but you will be able to find street parking off Grand.

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. We got our drinks served, but then the waitress NEVER came back to check in us. It was the manager that came over to see how we were doing. I told him we had not ordered yet, and had been waiting to do so for over 20 minutes.
Once we got our food, it was absolutely nasty. The ground beef tasted greasy to the max and was very off in taste, almost like it was old, and the chicken tasted like freaking FISH! I’m pretty confident they fried the chicken in the same oil as the fish. It was so gross. The beans were also super flavorless, greasy, and tasted like they came out of a can or something. I definitely was pretty disappointed in this place. These people need a serious amount of cooking lessons, and they need lessons on customer service. For any tourist looking for good Mexican food, DO NOT COME HERE!!! It’ll save you worth a lot of effort.

As a Hispanic myself who loves Tex Mex. This place was alright. Definitely Tex Mex but not real Mexican food. Our server literally walked out with his buddies. Never brought us our drinks again. I had to go ask for a refill before we left. Needs updating on furniture bc tables were not sturdy. Price was alright for the location. Burrito was filled with onions and barely any meat but cheese enchiladas were good. Rice was a little hard.

Such a great place! My little crew and I dragged our relaxed tails in here after a nice soak in the hot springs and were greeted sweetly and served quickly. The food was amazing, the kids loved the sodas in a bottle and we ate ourselves silly! It was quiet for a Thursday evening but we hit the jackpot. Hard to find parking, but worth it ! Seems family owned. We’ll be back! Thank you!
