Jack Manjiro is a fantastic spot for sushi and Japanese comfort food with a great drink selection. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, especially at the counter where you can watch the preparation up close.

The sushi was fresh and beautifully prepared — the tuna and uni were standout pieces. We also tried the kasu-udon, which had a rich, flavorful broth and tender beef, perfect for a comforting dish. The tuna dish topped with crispy green onions added a nice creative touch.

What makes this place special is the drink pairing options. The sushi went perfectly with a glass of Koshu wine, and they also have a solid selection including Pinot Noir, Japanese chuhai, and premium beer.

Great food, relaxed vibe, and excellent quality overall. Definitely a place I’d come back to!!

This is a relatively new sushi restaraunt. Honestly couldnt ask for better. Sushi was very good quality, and the rest of the items I ordered was very good too. They also had a good selection of alcohol. It was legit.

What surprised me the most was their 9 piece plate for 45 dollars (as of the date of this review). 5 per piece is a bargain, ive seen worse prices for less than decent sushi before.

My only small complaint was that the rice was unseasoned. But didnt really take away from the taste.

My husband and I tried this spot for the first time tonight after being so excited to check it out — and it did not disappoint. The food was absolutely excellent. We ordered the tempura (the best I’ve ever had) and two sushi sets, and everything was so fresh and beautifully prepared. We’re already planning our next visit so we can explore the rest of the menu.

This place is going to be such a gem in El Porto, and I’m honestly so stoked. If you’re looking for high-quality sushi with a rad vibe, definitely check this place out.

Just finished having dinner here and it was delightful. We greatly enjoyed the tuna sashimi and flounder sashimi. The jack roll was also excellent ! The space is intimate and was busy ! The service also was great. Would definitely go back !

Had nigiri sushi, a couple rolls, and two udons.
All the food was excellent quality! The nigiri was high quality- had the toro, tuna, yellow tail, and Unagi.
The Jack roll was very good, highly recommend!
Surprisingly the highlight was the udon, the base umami udon was so clean and packed with flavour. The curry udon was also fantastic- not too heavy, lighter curry broth but also very flavourful.
All in all food was really fantastic- with slightly higher prices. But definitely worth it, just wish I took some picture!

We had a great time in the spot that took over for Fansea. We absolutely loved the old spot, so we couldn’t have been happier to see the sushi chef back in action! We had two rolls, spicy tuna and the lemon salmon (would highly recommend the lemon salmon roll, so fresh), the flounder carpaccio (amazing), garlic edamame and yellowtail sashimi. The fish is amazing! They are in a soft opening phase, so try not to be too harsh on the reviews. Can’t wait to be back! The service was incredible.

We went to their soft launch right before Christmas and while I can’t speak for the sushi because we didn’t order any, the udon was absolutely amazing, authentic and the service was great! We loved the atmosphere and vowed to come again. We parked on the street. It’s LA, so lower your expectations but it wasn’t impossible. It’s worth a try if you’re wondering. The prices are reasonable.

Love this place! Apparently, the restaurant group has a bunch of restaurants in Japan and this is the first in the US. The salmon and tuna nigiri was so good, and their japanese ramen soup was insanely good. Nice neighborhood spot feel, with amazing food

Thoroughly impressed by the sushi, tempura and service. We got the Sushi 9, 6 and Tempura 7. Everything was excellent.

Talked to the chef and the restaurant is in its soft opening. Wish I could keep it to myself because this place is going to have a long wait as soon as people find out
