It’s just not the same as it used to be. The service is still great. The food used to be really good. We ordered lo mein with beef, Shezwan chicken, egg rolls, and hot & sour soup. The noodles we bland and soggy with very little beef. The chicken was gross, slimy, and chewy. Egg rolls and soup were fine. Last time we ate there, we weren’t really satisfied either, but we thought they might be having an off day. We will not be going there again.

This is a nice Chinese food place with good food and good service. It is in a small shopping center and the building itself is fairly small. There’s only a couple of tables for sitting at.
When I came in, the staff took my order right away and they were friendly. The food was done fairly quickly and it was a good portion. I got the house fried rice and it was flavorful.

We are visiting relatives in the area and decided to order from here because of the good reviews…we don’t understand why they have such high reviews.
The house fried rice was yellow, first for us. But we didn’t mind the color so much, it was the taste. The rice was hard, not cooked enough it was bland.
The dumplings tasted fair, but they were greasy and almost raw on the bottom. The egg foo young had no flavor to it and even greasier then the dumplings, even though we requested they cook it crispy/well done. That went in the trash immediately.
The egg drop soup was the ONLY thing that was worth ordering.
We will definitely not return.

I ordered roast pork fried rice and chicken lo mein, but the food was very bland and tasteless. If I had to give it a rating, it would be a 3 out of 10. They could still improve the flavor of the dishes. I don’t recommend these dishes. I recommend trying something different.

It’s been a while since I went here so I got take out tonight. Food is amazing, as it was the last time I had it. I decided to write the review simply to point out the amazing service that these folks provide. I have an issue with spicy food – anything hotter than plain black pepper and I’m in pain. But I love sesame noodles. This restaurant has never had an issue making a special order of the noodles for me without any heat whatsoever. It’s a small place, but for a good meal that is fairly priced and with modifications to the order – they really are wonderful

We moved to Franklin three years ago and find that Long River is the most consistent and convenient place to get decent Chinese food. They have the orders ready fast and the food is always good!

We used to eat here a lot but about a year ago, I ordered over $80 worth of takeout food and found multiple maggots in the vegetables. When I returned with the food and showed them they were only willing to refund the vegetable dish. I had to argue that after seeing maggots in the food we weren’t going to eat anything else. I did get a refund for all food but was a 10 minute debate even after returning everything!!! WILL NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN!!!

Their lo mein was gross. The chicken was bland and their noodles tasted like someone pour a little bit of soy sauce on it but that’s it. Don’t recommend the lo mein. Save your money get lo mein somewhere else.
