It was a slow afternoon, no one was dining in seems everyone was doing to go orders. The lady at the register was very nice and engaging. Great customer service from her. I ordered the rib tip plate with baked beans and spaghetti. The ribs were tender and the sauce was great. The baked beans were pretty good as well. I would have loved a little more flavor in the spaghetti, but hey everyone has a different way they like their spaghetti served, but in the south we do like our spaghetti made with meat and not have to be charged extra for it and Betty’s gets an A+ for that reason. I would definitely go back for another visit to try something different on the menu. Hopefully they’ll be serving cake on the next visit.

When I first went to the B.B. King museum a few years ago, an employee suggested that I go to this restaurant. I went and it was closed (Sunday or Monday). I finally had the opportunity to go yesterday and it was such a wonderful experience. I had the opportunity to do a short interview with Mrs. Betty. She shared how she started cooking for Mr. King and that it lasted 18 years until his death. She catered the food during the annual festival he held each year.
The food is delicious and all of the employees are super nice. You can order at counter and sit or just have a seat at table and a server will take your order.
My friend and I ordered at counter. Mr. Otha Campbell toon our order. And he has the patience of Job because my friend took 15 minutes to place order and kept changing her mind plus holding up line. He never seemed frustrated or bothered.
The restaurant is decorated very nice and you can write your name etc on wall! There is also a private dining area for large groups. The only thing that I think needs more attention is the restroom could use updating but otherwise I absolutely love this place and will return when I’m in the area.
There are also a few tables outside that enhances the rustic look. I highly recommend this restaurant if in the area.

I’m giving Betty’s Place four out of five stars, and here’s why: The food is absolutely incredible. I went all in with the fried catfish and buffalo fish, plus a nice salad and their stellar potato salad. To drink, I had a glass of their famous mud water (sweet tea mixed with lemonade)—so good! Seriously, the plates deserve a perfect five. The one small hitch was that I was really craving the banana pudding that the website promised, but they were out of it for the day. Still, if you’re looking for an amazing meal, this is the spot!

I ordered cheese burgers and fries. A drink came with it. The burgers were hand patted patties and made to order. Everything was fresh and great. The only thing that I can say is that the fries were frozen crinkle cuts….. they were edible and like most everywhere.

We walked in and the gentleman at the counter said before we even start all they had left was fish and pork chops. That alone speaks volumes!! The fish just melts in your mouth. I was so sad when I took the last bite. My buddy was near tears with how good the pork chops are. 15/10 definitely recommend!
