Reviews
We waited about 45 minutes before our waitress even took our drink order and gave us menus. We ordered cheese dip, and by the time it finally came out, we had no chips and asked 4 times before someone who was not our waitress had to bring us some. By the time we got them our dip was cold. We asked for refills, but never got a single one.
When our food finally arrived (after watching other tables who came in after us get served first), we asked politely if they could at least take off anything preferably the cold cheese dip since the service had been so poor. The manager refused, saying “to-go orders were going ahead of dine-in,” which made absolutely no sense because the people that got served before us were people who came in way after us and were dine in.
Our kids sat there thirsty and hungry waiting for the basics — drinks and chips — which should be the easiest part of a Mexican restaurant. This was hands-down the worst dining experience we’ve ever had. Extremely disappointed and will not be back.
They also charged us for an extra drink and I said I wasn’t paying for that and she said if I didn’t she was calling the cops. I said go ahead because I’m not paying for something I didn’t order then my dad just offered to pay to be just done with these crazy people.
The food was horrible as well. Drive just a little further to Larancharita in Wilson it is so worth it!!!
El Paso in Bailey is exactly what you want in a local Mexican restaurant—warm, familiar, and satisfying. It doesn’t try too hard, and it doesn’t have to. The food speaks for itself.
The staff? Friendly. The kind of service that makes you feel like a regular, even if it’s your first time. The atmosphere? It’s got just the right touch of charm—comfortable without trying to be something it’s not. And the food? Generous portions, well-seasoned, and exactly what you’re craving when you walk through the door. The El Paso for 2? That’s how you do it—big, bold, and meant to be shared.
So why four stars instead of five? Not because they’re doing anything wrong—because they’re so close to greatness that I can’t wait to see what five stars looks like. A few refinements, a little more polish, and this place won’t just be the best option in Bailey—it’ll be the kind of spot people drive out of their way for.
But even now, if you’re looking for a Mexican restaurant that delivers on flavor, hospitality, and consistency, El Paso is the place. Keep an eye on this one—it’s only going to get better.
