H.B. Culpeppers was established in May, 1981 by partners Harry Spielman (H) and Ben Bruns (B). The company name CULPEPPERS was borrowed from the role of Spencer Tracy’s character, Captain C.G. in “It’s A Mad Mad World”, Culpepper. In Jan. of 1997 H.B. Culpeppers expanded into the former Indiana Floral location. The six scenes from Jimmy Stewart movies were painted by Bill Rettig, an artist from the Butler area and the original designer of this restaurant. Culpepper’s Upper Deck Sports Bar opened for business in Jan. 2009. The project involved the renovation of 10 second story office spaces into a bar/lounge and gamer area.
American grub & draft beer served in a casual establishment with pool tables & darts upstairs.

Good place to stop for lunch on quaint Philadelphia Street in Indiana. The food was good. But my son’s pretzel sticks came out overdone and dry, which was disappointing considering that was all he ordered. The chicken and Mexican wraps were fresh and hearty. The sweet potato fries were excellent with a side of ranch. We would surely go here again next time we visit Junior at school.

I love this warm cozy space! Disappointed in my food though, the steak hoagie was edible, nothing enjoyable about it though. I won’t name names but, if you want a good one, walk a couple blocks down the street. It came with chips, not good home made chips, which a lot of bars do, just some cheap ones out of a bag. You can get fries for an up charge, as if $12 for a downsized hoagie wasn’t enough. I might try this place again, I always say, there’s probably something I love here, I just don’t know what it is yet. Right now, I’ld be hard pressed to commit though.

I deliver regularly with doordash and for some reason it takes for ever to get the food from here out of all the restraunts in this town this one is the slowest when it comes to food prep times I’ve been in at least 15 different times for doordash and of the 15 orders I was only able to deliver 6 cause I got assigned to other dashes due to waiting too long and when you doordash time is money I will no longer be accepting pickup orders from there due to the amount of time and money I’ve lost waiting for food

Live in Indiana area for years and never visited this place. Now I know why it never stood out. The place is really nice inside, hit it near dinner time and wasn’t crowded. The food was the biggest disappointment, the pizza didn’t have much flavor. Wrap was ok and the fries were the best part. If the food matched the atmosphere, this place has a lot of potential.

There was a 5 dollar cover charge, cash only, no entertainment besides someone’s trash house music on aux and colorful lights, a single pay to play pool table, and a foosball table, 2 subpar rum and cokes were $12.50, environment looked like a mix of a classic movie lover and big game hunter. Mohawks lanes has a better bar than this place was for half the price. If you’re looking to spend 30 bucks to get drunk in confused hunting lodge nightclub try it out not worth it if you ask me.
