Disappointing. 1st time at the Vernon hills, IL location and 1st time at any roti in a year or so. Not sure I will need to go back.
Arrived at 11:15 am on a weekday. Several people waiting for online ordered food (catering and door dashers) but no one ahead of me to order food. 2 employees working- neither acknowledged me, told me if would be a minute, etc. there seemed to be some commotion and displeasure with the people waiting over incomplete orders, wait times, etc.
I finally asked Enrique if this was the correct place to place an order and he said yes- he’d be with me in a minute.
Ordered for carry out: skirt steak/ brussel bowl and an Harrisa bowl ….. ended up not getting essential component of brussel sprouts. Bummer.
a third employee emerged from back much later and was shuffling pita around – he never interacted with customers for the 15 minutes I was there.
Enrique was nice, friendly, helpful. They seemed to be severely understaffed and there were several items out of stock on the line and in the to go case which really slowed things down.
Food was well seasoned, portions good but pricey.

So my business catered this for lunch and I’ve never tried or even considered. The chicken and rice, then fresh cut tomatoes and cucumbers was perfect. It had a pita option which I did use some sauce (honestly not sure what flavor it was white) anyway for my tastes it was good and can’t wait to try out the place fresh myself. Sorry for the very Eton picture but I didn’t think to post until late and it’s at least an idea of the look of the rice and the chicken and the tomatoes. The cucumbers are mini cucumbers, and chopped up also. Obviously delicious that’s why they’re gone lol.

Loved it. Loved the food, it was delicious. The service was excellent and the restaurant was clean. The lady who assisted us was so kind. We don’t get to go to Roti often as we are never near one so when we do, I always forget to add something that I like and of course I did that this time. But, she was really nice in accommodating me. We ordered a Falafel Pite, Harissa Chicken Bowl, another chicken bowl and a steak bowl.

I had a great experience here! The food was fresh, my order came out just the way I wanted, and everything was clean and comfortable. I honestly have no complaints. I’ll definitely be back. Both Gluten free and dairy free options available

Two other people and I went into this location at 7:10 PM on Oct 12, 2025, and there was one young woman working there. The place was not busy at all. It was us and two other people eating inside and two customers ahead of us. After she took forever to do the order for two people ahead of us, she went up to us in a dismissive way and said “I’ll be right back.” She went to a spot in the kitchen where we could clearly see her and continued to take care of “serious business,” which was actually just her texting away on her phone for a long period of time. We could see her having an entire conversation with someone while overtly disregarding that we were waiting to order. We ended up just walking out—losing the business our patronage.

I had their harissa chicken bowl with a skewer of salmon kabob on a side. It was alright, nothing extraordinary.
$19,48 – including tax. They are kinda stingy on protein, that amount of chicken was for kids size meal. That’s why I had to add salmon ($4 for 2 tinny pieces of salmon).

Chicken was burnt and not juicy, so was the steak. With the portion size might as well not get any meats… they have potential, but I will not be going back. Also it was super cold.

Absolutely rude … threw the food, cups and bags and had an attitude on doing his job. If the guy can’t handle the service part of the business find a new job because customers aren’t for you. Consider a warehouse where you can throw boxes and tantrums all day.

The food is not even close to real Mediterranean, it tastes and smells like a plastic . Portions are very small. Vegetables are not fresh and meat is overtoasted.

I usually don’t write many reviews, but I simply disagree with the comments left in the negative review. This is my fourth time at this location and the customer service is always great. Food always taste great and the portions are huge. I had a salad and I couldn’t even finish it. If someone is complaining about ROTI’s portions being small it is better for that person to see a doctor. I don’t want to keep going but this is my favorite place to eat.
